RedDoorz Plus @ Jones Avenue Cebu

could have had a better view of the city and would have been better if their pool and bar are open.

There's no refrigerator.
My card key for my room didn't work. I couldn't lock my room.

The digging outside all day and almost all night

1. Biggest disappointment: we had selected the hotel based on the fact that it promoted a rooftop dining/bar area next to the pool because the extended family wanted to spend time at the hotel without having to go out into the Cebu craziness to get food and drinks. When we arrived, we were advised that the dining/bar was no longer open.
2. Other disappointment - Senior staff member. Upon check-in, she was extremely unpleasant to the family speaking basaya - so much so that 2 of the 9 family members decided to go home and not stay at the hotel. I was the one that booked and paid for the 4 rooms but I was never addressed. And instead of welcoming us, she immediately attacked us for booking 4 twin rooms that sleep 8 saying it was policy that no more than 2 can stay in a room (we had 1 young child with us and assumed they could sleep with their mother). If that RedDoorz hotel is not doing well, I suspect this is a factor...BTW, the other staff were very helpful.
3. Showers had no hot water
4. Low water pressure mean that it was difficult to shower
5. Pool had to be booked and only 6 persons at a time we're allowed to use the pool so the whole family could not use it concurrently.
6. Hotel is advertised at RedDooz Plus but turned out it was a lower level 'Express' version of RedDoorz.

Shower area needs work, especially the floor

- it didn’t have hot water in all rooms
- bad light in room
- bad sockets. I could use two of 6
- room has very old and simple AC (pipe with radiator) an we could see all sounds on the street
- curtains were broken. I couldn’t up it
- rent of kettle price 100 pesos, lol
- hotel restraint was closed
-noisy location. Taxi drivers called to us and they followed us for many meters. A little traffic jams was in morning
- safety deposit 1050 peso by cash but refund 975 peso to you lol. Good deal :))

Price was 28$ for the best room. I rented it for one night and I don’t recommend. It was terrible.

Nothing

The rooftop area is closed; the fire escape is a steep, wooden stairwell that leads to a locked basement. Once inside the stairwell, one can't exit on any other floor except the basement, so this is quite dangerous. No toilet paper and no hot water in the showers. Not the tourist part of town. Also, when it rained, many roads became flooded because of the poor drainage in the city. Cebu: not again.

Well, it’s much better if there’s restaurant inside the hotel, so we never go out anymore to get the foods.

They didn't change towels during my stay (But maybe I should have asked)

I asked for the towels but they dont want to give any and they clean the room at all,,,ita dirty

Room was dirty. Cockroaches in the bathroom.
Traffic noise was loud along with a screaming baby all night.
Rooftop pool was closed.
