Shower in room did not work. Wasn’t offered a different room. It was evident the shower hasn’t worked for a while
We received a nice room after our key would not work after moving into the first room. The desk could not open first room with their key nor maintenance key. Finally door did open with my key and we were moved to another room where key worked however the shower only had hot water.
I booked through hotels.com and asked for a queen smoking. I checked in and the person at register put us in non smoking and stated it would be extra charge if we wanted to change. He then told us we had to put an additional 50$ deposit and it would be reimbursed at checkout. Checked out after 3:00am and was told it would not be reimbursed for a couple of days I asked for printout receipt and was told they couldn’t it would be on email
Customer service was good. Building is old and dirty. Mold was growing in toilet
Middle of night someone opened our window that we had no idea it was broken and assumed locked It was floor level . Toilet was not working and there was mold around the seat or growing bacteria, the sink was leaking and the carpet was wet . Bed was lumpy and smelled of mold in room. We called hotels.com & no help ! I was placed on hold and then eventually hung up after I requested a manager help the person looking for a room for us gave up looking . Assuming this site has hit an all time low in customer help ! We went with another online company & they were 10 times better !
It was are first time staying there. Me & my family enjoyed ourselves.
The experience was decent. The price was great for a Saturday and if I had the chance I would stay there again.
Was just ok. Found one bed bug on the stool
It waz just like home
Literally the most disgusting hotel/motel I’ve ever stepped foot in. Dead cockroaches, stained towels, blood spotted bed sheets, burned out light bulbs, clogged toilet... i could literally keep going and we only stayed there for 4 hours. We were passing thru ok a cross country road trip and needed a place to get good sleep for the road ahead. What we got was an uneasy feeling that our truck would get broken into, and a rock hard bed that had a matress so thin that it could double as a yoga mat. I will NEVER stay in a windham hotel again in my life. Please do yourself a favor and steer way clear of this place unless your looking for a place to shoot up some drugs.
The front
The clerk at check in did not have a mask on . I asl her if the rooms had been sanitized she just said yea . Didn’t give any details on sanitizing anyways. The room had a water roach in the very corner of the wall in the carpet. I could tail it was not deep clean there was red hots behind the nightstand in between the two beds . The clock on the nightstand had not been cleaned it had just all over it you can tell when somethings been cleaned and sanitized and the restroom vent has a rattling noise we couldn’t even shower comfortably with that noise on room #126 . It is a shame to see their affiliated with the Wyndham
There was dust/ dirt along the ledge of the window. A/C needs to be recharged, not cool enough , even set on High Cool. Also ice machine did not work on the second floor, bought 10 lbs, of ice at Walmart.
The room was shabby at best. The A/C dials were missing any markings. The room was sweltering and I had to guess where to set the knobs to cool it off which took many tries. The tub was filthy and had cigarette burns on the edge of the tub. Carpet was frayed and missing small patches. There were no breakfast options. The hallway was a potent combination of awful air freshener, weed smoke and stale cigarette smoke.
On check in it was very time consuming due to the fact the clerk was much more interested in the telephone than providing service to me. I was not familiar with Hawthorne Suites hotel but I sure am now. I mistakenly thought that beibg a Wyndham hotel it would be acceptable. But after completing check in. I stepped into a filthy elevator. Then traveled up a hallway saturated in stale cigarette smoke. Then when arriving in my non smoking room, i havent ever had the experience of having an ottoman in my room but having no chair. . For entertainment I watched out my window a vehicle being ransacked in theparking lot. Just waiting for wht comes next.
TV remote control was to be fixed but never did.
Tried repeatly to get WIFI, but finally came in after
midnight.
When we arrived at the hotel we realized it was in a terrible part of town. Check in process was easy, however the agent didn’t communicate with us that they were taking an extra $50 deposit from my credit card in addition to the room charge. I will get that money back in a few days but for some people that might be a financial burden.
Next...we got into the room and it was like a hotel room from the 70s. The main door to the room would not automatically close. You had to push it shut. The hallway smelled like weed. The towels were as rough as sand paper. The side door exit door lock was broken ( in that neighborhood it didn’t make me feel very safe). The complimentary breakfast was not available which I understand due to COVIDl, however; I stayed at many other hotels on this trip and they offered a breakfast to go (apple, granola bar, etc).
Overall, I would never stay at this hotel again. I picked it because it was a Wyndham property which has a decent reputation. I was very disappointed😒
had a 2 night stay here.first night was unable to connect to the wifi. told the front desk clerk Alan and he immediately put us in another room. had no tv reception in the new room which he immediately fixed. fast courteous service from all the staff, but Alan was great
Friendliness of Front desk staff and close to airport
Always stay at this hotel exclusively. I've had some issues in the past. But overall I enjoy the atmosphere and relaxing stays. That keeps us coming back.
