Great stay!
Pros:

Lovely staff, beautiful ambience. Loved our room, was very quiet and clean. Properties was nicely landscaped and the building was well kept.

Just a little below average, wouldn’t recommend for “the value”
Pros:

Breakfast was fine, getting to eat it sitting right above the beach was exceptional

Cons:

Was pleased when I got off the ferry and saw what I THOUGHT was my hotel just down the street. No ramp to roll your luggage. Checked in only to find my actual “final destination”
was down the road. Had to carry my luggage up steps after rolling it through the rocky driveway,
Despite hanging the Do Not Disturb on my door I came back from being out to find that the housekeeper had ignored it and went into my room. Even though I got the “welcome, let us know if there’s anything we can do do to improve your stay” text let us know: when I let them know: Crickets!
I end up with 2 splinters in my thumb from holding onto the railing going down the steps.

Many shortcomings and exorbitant cost
Pros:

Location is convenient to the ferry - walkable - and the porch has a nice view of the ocean

Cons:

No high chair for toddler. Breakfast was not very good. Building and room are old and tired. No elevator and steep stairs. No closet in room other than bathroom robe hanging area. Toilet paper holder falling down. Total cost $600 a night - I expect excellence at this price point.

close to old harbor and restaurants

Cons:

Stayed in the main hotel. No elevator was not my concern, until we had to walk up 45 very steep stairs to the 3rd floor. Last set seemed to be a trap door up to the attic (3rd floor). Only room for 1 person to use at a time.

Our King Room on the 3rd floor was incredibly cramped! Opened the door with just enough clearance to the bed. My husband and I could barely walk around and there was NO place for your bags. Small closet in the corner was full with a fridge. Not even a chair to sit in the room. Bathroom, although remodeled, incredibly cramped and no room for ANY toiletries or even a place to put your towel after a shower.

Staff could care less that we were guests. At the beach, they enjoyed lounging themselves, while there were no chairs or towels for the guests. No locks on the 2 bathroom doors in the lobby. Signs were posted "Please knock before entering" on the bathroom doors.

This hotel is very expensive for such poor service and accommodations.

we loved block island but would choose a different hotel for our next stay
Pros:

great location and the staff was very friendly

Cons:

our suite backed up to a bar that was so loud both nights, our family couldn’t fall asleep til they closed at 1am. we also had to request room service and called several times to get our room cleaned. for such a pricey place, cleaning should be included

Cons:

The registration staff doesn't treat you the way they should; it's very expensive, and they don't even treat you well. They don't give you an exact timeframe, either. They told me I might have to wait 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting an hour.

Pros:

Location and staff were great

Cons:

The room in a secondary building with stairs to get into building, stairs to get to room and another set of stairs to get into the bedroom area. I was not able to climb that many stairs. Front desk unable to change accommodation. I slept on a couch that was not a pullout bed.
