Amazing hotel staff couldn’t do enough for you and gorgeous rooms great location
Melia is located in in South Kensington in a mixed neighborhood of other hotels, small restuarants and independent shops.
The hotel rooms were wonderful, except for my second stay at the end of my trip. I was basically in a very expensive closet! though it had all the amenities, but no place to hang clothes except a cramped space by the doorway with a few hangers.Staff was very good, very accommodating. Breakfast was also very good. Lovely Indian restaurant just two doors down.
Great location, close to Gloucester Road and South Kensington tube stations. Lovely area.
Loved the hotel on easy transportation lines or walkable. Wished i could have spent several days just hanging around the room. Maybe next time
Attention to detail needs improve
Lovely interiors, great location, friendly staff
Great staff, Alba, thomas, Paola, Anastasia. Everyone kind. Grear llcation
Had the best time staying at Melia with my family of 5. It had everything you needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The staff were so attentive and always available. They made the stay memorable and easy for us. The hotel has a beautiful London charm to it and is well maintained. The decor was chic, inviting, and lovely. We will always stay here when we visit London. It was quiet and easy for us to sleep through the night. The only issue was the design of the shower made it easy for water to fall outside of the shower but it didn’t bother us too much because the tile dried quickly and they have floor mats.
Stayed in room 507 which was in the basement and not only did the room have an awful view of a wall it was it was extremely, extremely noisy from above and outside as well. Our nights were very disruptive. Having raised the complaint to reception we were offered a smaller room the following day go 3pm. Unfortunately this was not convenient as we were attending a family wedding. We were promised an email with recompense but nothing has been received and unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay at the Melia for the money we paid
Very old hotel on an ugly and busy street. Don’t stay here.
We stopped over in London for two nights on the way home from our family vacation, and we couldn't have asked for a better spot. Great neighborhood, easy access to the tube and bars, restaurants, shopping and parks. Service was impeccable. Laila (front desk) was very helpful with restaurant recommendations.
The staff was accommodating.
Buena ubicación.
Desayuno delicioso.
Hotel muy bonito y en muy buen estado.
Rooms were really comfortable and nicely decorated. It had a more unique feel to the place than most hotels. Easy to get anywhere using nearby underground station. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It is on a busy road but quiet inside. One thing that was a surprise was the perfume in the lobby but that seems to be a thing in the hotels here.
Gorgeous room. Wonderful staff.
This is the most fabulous property. They had it decorated for Wimbledon and gave us strawberries and cream and a Pims upon arrival. The lobby is beautiful, the room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful! Any request we had was promptly granted and the Italian restaurant, “Da Mario,” within walking distance is a must but make a reservation a day or more before. The Indian restaurant next door was wonderful and super fast for take out. The tube is just across the street less than a block. I loved staying here and would stay here again without a second thought. Excellent staff, too!
Melia Hotel is conveniently located just a couple blocks from the subway in the lovely neighborhood of South Kensington. We enjoyed walking to Hyde Park and the History and Science museums. The hotel is a beautiful old building retrofitted with modern amenities and furnishings. The staff was always helpful and quick to assist. The only downsides are the rather small rooms with no closets (just a wardrobe for hanging clothes) and the sound proofing leaves much to be desired. If you’re claustrophobic and/or a light sleeper this might not be the place for you.
Great central hotel with great customer service. Would stay there again
Safe quiet area
This property and staff were excellent. Very convenient and walkable to most attractions
