Breakfast was outstanding and service desk employees were amazing
The soap, shampoo and conditioner scents weren't to my taste. The conditioner bottle fell off the small corner shelf and the cap came off and wouldn't close up again. The drain in the shower wasn't draining. Had pulled a bunch of hair out and it still didn't drain fast enough.
Bed was comfortable and front desk staff was friendly.
There was a strong smell of marijuana throughout the parking garage and elevators. Would have liked to see security in the parking garage to possibly curtail this. Found items in our room that were left behind by others which makes me wonder how well it was cleaned.
Easy walk to the Great American Ball Park. Lovely location with restaurants close by.
Brian and his team up front were wonderful! I checked in only to find people were already in our room. Brian and his supervisor didn’t skip a beat and treated me with so much respect and class. Our rooms were upgraded and we loved how they took care of us.
While attending the cocktail hour that I have frequented many times when we stay with Embassy Suites I will say the bartending staff seemed pretty annoyed about free drink tickets and where we sat. I asked the bartender for a Moscow mule (which I’m fully aware isn’t from a free drink list), it’s just my preference of drink and she told me no she couldn’t make it and gave us a sign of drinks. I politely asked if they had ginger beer and vodka to which she responded yes and I told her I’m happy to pay, it’s just the drink I prefer and when she realized I was willing to pay she was willing to make my drink. Our small group is super chill and laidback so we were patient and polite despite being made to feel out of place. Overall the experience was great for a Moms night, bit food and beverage staff is a little touch and go so just be mindful and patient with them 😊
Localization
Old hotel that needs renovation.
Rooms are horrible: mustiness, mold, old furniture.
Breakfast a joke: Buffet for 100+ guests served by 1-2 people. Egg/omlet fresh cooking by 1 person was the only eatable part of breakfast, but line was for >20 min of waiting.
Reception tried to push me standard room while I clearly booked and paid more for river view. After claim they were reasoning it a temporary because destination room was not ready. True scam.
Everything
The beds and pillows were soft and comfortable.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. The first time wasn’t great, but we gave them another chance thinking they had overbooked and were short staffed. Bedding for the pull out was non-existent and housekeeping was unable to be contacted. The bathroom had mildew around the tub and the handle on the toilet was broken. During breakfast, we waited 20 minutes for an omelet as the buffet was largely empty. And as we left, we were bid adieu by a very large cockroach in the lobby.
Erica checked us in and she was absolutely amazing! She helped us so much and her personality was so friendly. By far the kindest and most welcoming receptionist I have ever had. That means a lot since I travel 70% of the month for work!
The staff was very friendly and helpful
Loved the location along the river !!
The breakfast was amazing.. especially the fresh made omelets !!
Our room and the towels/ wash cloths were very clean !!
The one serving drinks in the evening was kinda grumpy
Erica ,Erin, and Judy at the front desk was amazing
I rarely leave negative reviews, but it is warranted. I have stayed at this hotel years ago and it was nice. But very disappointing. It must stay on Saturday night May 9,2026. The room was just in general rundown. I will attach a couple of pictures as an example. There were drunk people in the hallway making lots of noise. There were two beds as advertised, but they were just barely bigger than a twin bed. Breakfast Sunday morning wasn’t a lot better. They were understaffed and could not keep food adequately placed for the hotel guests. Counting tax this was $298 room. Definitely not the typical embassy suite brand, usually they are top notch.
Brian at the front desk was great got me checked in quick and lenea at the bar had some best drinks I ever had !
