The place has been renamed retirement home by the locals; it fits the description.
Pros:

Proximity to the beach and city center

Cons:

The breakfast was very basic and underwhelming, the brown tiny lady serving breakfast was also rude.

The cleaning was not done on a daily basis.

No fun activities, shutdown at 9pm

Poolen är fantastisk

Cons:

De behöver få ordning på incheckningen är inte rimligt när du kommer 14:00 och rummet inte är klart och ända beskedet är soon. Även varmvatten funkar i bland och AC funkar inte alls behöver de få ordning på.

all in all it was a good experience being at Morning Star & would recommend it to anyone
Pros:

Breakfast buffet was on point; loved the swimming pool & the staff were so friendly advised& recommended nice places to go for a dance . everything was really good can't complain a thing major.

Cons:

The wifi in my room was a bit unstable during the last days , which was a bit disturbing but later in the night of our last night they had it sorted

A nice place to stay in the north of Diani but all the activities are in the south
Pros:

The hotel restaurant is very so we mainly had dinner there - very delicious!

Cons:

The water in the room did not become cold during the sunny day - it stayed warm.
It also was salty.

Вежливый и отзывчивый персонал. По моей просьбе сразу устранили неисправность кондиционера и добавили вешалок в шкаф. Номер большой. Уборка ежедневно, бассейн и территорию чистят ежедневно. В ресторане отлично кормят, не недешево Отличные, но однообразные завтраки. .На кухне есть всё необходимое,, кроме микроволновой печи.В целом, я рекомендую этот отель!

Cons:

Было много пыли в шкафах и на верхних поверхностях. Дорогой ресторан. Отсутствие микроволновки. Вроде бы всё, что нужно есть, но разогреть еду можно только на плите.

Super Pool I'm
Pros:

Der Pool ist groß und wird sehr gut gewartet. Die Küche ist hervorragend.

Cons:

WiFi ist manchmal überlastet. Da ich aber grundsätzlich bei Ankunft in Kenia eine lokale Sim Karte kaufe war dies für mich noch relevant.

why should i pay for an apartment of 2 bedrooms and be forced to take single tooms at same cost?

The swimming pool was excellent.

Cons:

I paid for a 2 bedroom apartment and they gave it away and forced me to take single rooms at the same cost. The rooms were bad with old and rusting cookers and untidy bath rooms. The food was not good; the spaghetti was stiff cold and hard to eat, the chicken was hard to chew and cold. The Tuffy fish was hard and not well cooked. I had planned to stay longer but I had to check out and move to another hotel (Jacaranda Indian Resort) where I stayed for the rest of the days.

Trevlig personal, rymliga lägenheter med bra AC o kylskåp.
Bra pool och restarangområde.

Cons:

Maten i restarangen var inte bra, frukost dock bra.
Wifi lite svajig och svag i rummet.
Märkligt nog fanns det bra med varmvatten, men ibland fem minuters fördröjning på kallvattnet i dusch.

Good place that needs some simple upgrades.
Pros:

The rooms are big enough and the place readily accesable
The pool is clean and the staff generally friendly.
The residence is well secured.

Cons:

The rooms generally need to be upgraded..

The taps cooker fridge balcony tab etc have seen better days (still functional)
Better communication from the kitchen staff on meal pricing.
