Nothing
This is a lovely holiday hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The evening meal was very good and value for money.
Nothing to dislike at all.
Comfortable hotel in good location. Close enough to centre of Whitby but far enough away from the bustle.
Nothing to dislike
The room was a standard twin room, clean and reasonably furnished.
The bathroom was small but adequate for a short stay.
Full waitress service at breakfast was very good, the breakfast itself, not the best I've had, but more than adequate.
15 minutes walk along the promenade to get into the town centre, finer for my group, but seem would need a taxi.
Really, it was all pretty much as expected, a bigger bar with more draft beer and cider choices would've been nice.
Attention to detail and the warm and friendly atmosphere and great staff
Nothing every was fine

Atmosfera intima, parcheggio, ottima colazione
Un po' lontano a piedi dal centro
Location and parking was just across the road. Breakfast was delicious and the local kippers stunning! Staff were lovely and chatted away.
A bit tired - small corridors and rather old fashioned.

The breakfast was really good
Slightly overpriced
Although we stayed just the one night in the Saxonville (only because we were en route to Norfolk) we thought the hotel was excellent. Our room was spacious, well appointed and tastefully decorated. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb and extremely good value and the ‘waited’ service at breakfast was a pleasant departure from the serve yourself buffet-style serveries you find in larger but not necessarily as nice hotels. Breakfast was excellent by the way. Further the staff were extremely pleasant and informative. We would not hesitate returning to the Saxonville if ever we are in Whitby again.
Immaculate score on all accounts: service, cleanliness, airy, dinner, breakfast. Absolutely no negative comments.
Nothing
Standards have been maintained over the 20+ years that we have been staying at the hotel
Loved table service, it gives a sense of caring and friendly service.
Evening meals could be earlier.
Breakfast was good but a bit formal although friendly. Close to cliff for a walk into town.
Constant beeping at night from outside, didn’t get a wink of sleep.
