Nice hotel but very small rooms and a freezing pool

It’s a nice hotel

Cons:

The rooms are very small. The pool was absolutely freezing, could not swim in it. It was an actual ice bath.

Pros:

El buffet es bastante bueno, tiene de todo... Bollería, cereales, fruta, zumos, distintos panes, cocina caliente, un cocinero que hace tortillas.

Cons:

La habitación estaba en un bajo y la puerta no cerraba correctamente, entró alguna hormiga en la habitación.
Son habitaciones algo viejas pero muy espaciosas

Ok pour une étape mais chambres très mal insonorisées

Bonne situation à Mijas (pueblo) - parking pratique
Hôtel très propre. Très bien pour une étape, mais attention à l'insonorisation des chambres, voir ci dessous.

Cons:

Aucune insonorisation des chambres. On nous avait attribué une chambre communicante et on entendait tout: l'ouverture d'un sac, l'eau du robinet, ronfler. Malheureusement nos voisins de la chambre communicante se sont levés extrêmement tôt pour aller à l'aéroport et nous avions l'impression de partager la même chambre. Nous n'étions là que pour une nuit sinon nous aurions demandé de changer de chambre, car nous n'avons quasiment pas fermé l'œil de la nuit. Un conseil: si on vous attribue une chambre communicante, demandez de changer!
La salle du petit déjeuner est extrêmement grande, froide et ressemble plus à une cantine. Beaucoup de choix, mais qualité correcte mais sans plus. .

Vastaanotto oli ystävällinen ja henkilökunta muutenkin koko vierailun ajan hyvin vieraanvaraista. Hotellin allasosasto oli iso, ja aurinkotuoleja oli riittävästi. Huone oli rustiikkinen ja kotoisa, sängyt olivat hyvät. Aamupala oli erittäin monipuolinen.

Cons:

Huoneiden äänieristys oli aika olematon ja naapurihuoneiden äänet kuuluivat huoneeseen selvästi. Hienoinen pettymys oli, kun huoneeseen ei kuulunutkaan parveketta, vaan ainoastaan ovi, jonka edessä oli kalterit. En ihan ymmärtänyt, miksei ovi voinut johtaa terassille, mitä varten piti olla tämä "häkki", mutta mahdollisesti turvallisuussyistä?

SUPERB AUTHENTIC SPANISH HOTEL

Superb authentic Spanish hotel in a stunning location on the edge of Mijas Pueblo. Spotlessly clean throughout!

Check in with Jose was seamless with everything we needed to know explained really well. A real asset to the team and set the theme for an all round excellent holiday!

Staff really friendly providing excellent guest service. Not really fair to pick individuals out but the older waitress was really good! Always providing a smile despite a really high workload including the bar both during the day and later in the evening. Another real asset to an exceptional team!

We had a Superior room ( Room 214 ) with balcony overlooking the tennis court with Fuengirola and the sea in the distance. Could not fault. Like the public areas, room spotlessly clean.

Breakfast, whilst not exceptional, nonetheless was very good. Can't understand a recent reviewer complaining about the absence of English bacon!!! You are visiting Spain, not the UK!!! We opted for half board as upgrade with EasyJet Holidays was very reasonably priced. Salads and desert options were excellent with mains five nights out of our seven very good too. A "show cooking" area always offered a fish and meat option too. Guests on b & b should try at least once, the one meal we had out actually fell short by comparison!

Having visited Spain and it's islands some 30 plus times, this was our first trip to the Costa del Sol. TRH Mijas did us very proud and we will certainly look to return. A very big thank you to the management and team!
