Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charlotte I-85 Airport, NC

Mattress is terrible! Felt like someone had drop a boulder on the lower half because there is a drop off under where the hips rest. Room was clean but the odor from the cleaning products was very strong.

The area is not good. The appearance of the hotel was horrible. The ac didn’t work good. It was really a bad experience for me and I will never stay there again!

Tv could provide netflix or streaming services

Bathroom had mold. Room wasn't really clean. Baseboards were dirty. The time for breakfast was to early. It should stay open longer than 9 because it's a weekend people want to sleep in a little. Didn't restock breakfast food. If you didn't there before it was gone you didn't get any. Breakfast lady was rude.checked in a 5pmand there was a line out the door waiting to check in. There were no rooms clean. It took me a hour or so to get to the front desk. People were mad and frustrated. Not enough help. Manager wouldn't even come and explain. I could go on and on

The fact that our confirmed reservation was not honored and we had to spend the night at the airport

There was a shooting on my first night at the hotel. No-one from the hotel even cared to check if I was fine as the shooting happened on the parking lot next to my room

I didn’t like that the place is ghetto looking. The property looks horrible on the outside. Suspicious people either doing drugs hanging around the area. Also when I wanted to check in early the person said I cannot check in early. Many hotels they let you check in early. Also I said okay since I need to come back can I get breakfast? He said no I cannot only for people that are checked in. My room was prepaid but couldn’t check in in until after 2 pm.. Never heard such thing and I am a world traveler. First time I heard this before.

Country Inn & Suites CANCELED my reservation to CHARGE A HIGHER RATE of $402 (single) and $414 for double occupancy due to Chris Brown and Usher concert June 17-18!! Through Booking.com, the room for 2 nights was $264. I had selected (as I always do) to Pay at Property, but Country Inn & Suites want to be slick and try to charge my card on file 2-3 days before my stay. Charges didn't go through because I keep my card locked. I contacted Booking.com because I had 2 rooms and canceled 1 room but when I clicked Pay Now, it was charging $538.54 for 2 hotel rooms instead of $264.27 for one room. Upon arrival at hotel Friday afternoon around 2:45p.m. I was met with an attitude from staff who informed me that my reservation was canceled due to non-payment. That was very unprofessional and uncalled for. I NEVER RECEIVED EMAIL ABOUT RESERVATION BEING CANCELED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL! If I had received prior cancelation notice, I wouldn't have been at hotel waiting to pay for reservation that had been already canceled! This has never happened before in the past 10 years I've been using Booking.com for all my hotel reservations, rentals and flights. This experience was not called for. I was 2 hours late for a prior engagement due to this conflict in error on Booking.com and Country Inn & Suites behalf. I'm highly disappointed,, frustrated and aggravated 😤

The Country Inn And Suites by Radisson hotel refused to honor my reservation when we arrived to check in. The desk staff told us the hotel was full and they did not have a room for us. The desk staff of the Country Inn And Suites by Radisson hotel did not offer us any alternatives or compensation for refusing to check us in. As a result, we had to drive 6 hours back home in the middle of the night instead of resting at the Country Inn And Suites by Radisson hotel overnight. Also, I see that the Country Inn And Suites by Radisson hotel has nevertheless charged my credit card in full for the stay. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Hard to believe a reputable hotel name, Radisson, would engage in such poor service AND bill me for it.
