Very close to Golden Temple and reasonable price
The hotel is in a great location, just steps from the temple. Breakfast is very good, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The room doesn’t have a window, though it is ventilated, and the shower water was a bit lukewarm. Overall, it’s a nice place with good value.
Excellent location
Very neat and clean stay. Walkable distance to golden temple. Very near to market and famous restaurant. Special thanx to Seema and subhendu

The positive was the most comfortable bed we have had throughout our stay in India.
It is very close to the Golden temple.the staff were helpful when organising transport.
The negatives- not clean, everywhere you look the hotel was in need of a good clean. The rooms and bathrooms were tatty looking and looked unfinished . Blinds in the window did not work.
Loved the property
Reason for my 2 start being
Firstly, getting out of the hotel was a hassle because there are no Uber or public taxis want to pick you up from that congested place.
Secondly, the hotel's interior is extremely dark, which gives an eerie feeling of being inside a ship. The dim lighting and up and down stairs of floors made it difficult to feel comfortable and easy.
ALso the dining hall being located in the basement was another downside. It felt unwelcoming and claustrophobic,
Another significant issue was the lack of soundproofing. I could hear everything from the guests next door and anyone walking in the hallway, which disrupted my peace and quiet.
One of the most disappointing aspects was the breakfast service. They didn't offer eggs, as they considered them a non-vegetarian option. The only postive I can think of the hotel was approximity to Harminder Sahib. One could walk to Darbar sahib in 8-10 minutes from the hotel.
I am regular visitor of this property for many years Every thing is fine staff, behaviour, politeness, cleanliness, food , room service etc but now linens and mattresses are getting old and my humble request to management, please replace them 🙏😊
I am absolutely appalled by my experience at Hotel One Earth in Amritsar. We traveled all the way from Australia, hoping for a pleasant stay, only to be met with a level of accommodation that was completely unacceptable. Despite booking our rooms well in advance (at least 3 weeks), the reality was shocking and far from what was advertised. The hotel is old, dusty, and reeks of neglect. The carpets are filthy, the place smells musty, and it felt like we had been deceived and completely cheated by the condition of the hotel.
We booked four rooms for our large family, and after a delayed flight, we arrived exhausted around 10:30 PM. What we found upon entering our rooms was beyond disappointing—it was unbearable. When I requested a change of room, the night receptionist was unaccommodating and dismissive. We had to argue for over an hour before finally being offered a room we could sleep in.
Initially, we were assigned a family room, two Executive Queen rooms (one of which wasn’t even cleaned when we opened the door), and an Executive King room. The Executive Queen room was ridiculously small, with a filthy, unkempt bathroom. We had to request a change. The second Executive Queen room, located on the first floor, was so bad, smelly, and poorly maintained that we had to get it upgraded as well.
The conditions were the worst I’ve ever encountered. The rooms were dusty, the linen wasn’t changed, and we found hair on the sheets. The glasses in the room were filthy, and we couldn’t even use them. The kettle had dried tea leaves inside when handed over. It was clear that no effort had been made to maintain any standard of cleanliness or comfort.
The dining area in the basement was equally atrocious. There was no ventilation, and it was smoky and unbearable to sit there for more than 20 minutes. The food was downright terrible. This place doesn’t even meet basic standards, let alone offer any sort of pleasant dining experience. The kitchen utensils used for the buffet in the common dining area were old, non-stick vessels that were almost completely scratched off, clearly from years of using metal utensils. It’s completely unacceptable that a hotel would provide such worn-out kitchen equipment that poses potential health risks. I cannot fathom how this is deemed acceptable.
To make matters even worse, the manager, Palash, who I had made the reservation with, was completely helpless in addressing the issue. He claimed that the rooms were misallocated by the staff, even though he had correctly assigned the rooms himself. This was infuriating, especially considering the horrific conditions of the rooms. I had paid a premium price during the holiday season, expecting a comfortable and clean stay, only to be met with a nightmare.
I am beyond disappointed by this hotel. It was the worst accommodation I’ve ever encountered, and I cannot fathom how this place is even considered acceptable for guests. If you are seeking a place with comfort and quality, do not stay here. It may be suitable for pilgrims who are focused solely on proximity to the temple and are not concerned with comfort, but for anyone else, it is an absolute disgrace.
This has been a completely disheartening and frustrating experience, and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
The size of the room was very small. No towels or toiletries were available. Welcome drinks as mentioned at the time of booking were not offered. we did not use the other services as restaurant etc.The room did not have any window, so the ventilation was very poor
Few steps away from golden temple
Pillows were full of stains even the covers had yellow marks and when i tried to tell front desk guy he said we don’t have any other available tonight.
The room was dingy and the bed had a lot of stains and hair all over in the sheets. The staff were pleasant. We left and found a new hotel.
The bedding was so dirty even washroom was not clean
It was near to Gurudwara which was the main thing and market was close by too
I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel due to poor communication and service. Staff coordination was lacking—I had to repeat the same request to 2-3 people before anything was done. For example, I informed reception in both English and Punjabi that my family would leave at 7 am for the Golden Temple and requested housekeeping during our absence. Despite this, the rooms were untouched upon our return. I was told housekeeping only happens after 2 pm, even though I had informed them beforehand.
On the next day, I spoke directly with the housekeeping team and was informed that housekeeping starts from 8am onwards. Very confusing that different staff gave different information.
Room service was similarly disappointing. We ordered 2 coffees and 3 bottles of water at 11:30 am, but after waiting for an hour, my husband had to follow up at reception. The order was only expedited because a senior staff member intervened.
Additionally, I asked to speak to the General Manager on my second day, but despite seeing him multiple times, he never approached me. This lack of accountability from management was frustrating, especially given the price.
On the positive side, the hotel’s location is excellent—walking distance to the Golden Temple and shopping areas. It’s quiet, with a lovely terrace offering views of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
However, at $640 for four nights, I expected much better service. I regret not booking the Taj, where the experience would have likely matched the price.
We could not check in this hotel, as the location was not reachable by car. We followed GPS google to follow the directions. There was heavy traffic jam and the streets were closed towards hotel address. We tried calling the hotel for help but there was no answer. After painful long hours in traffic jam at late night, we had to stay at a different hotel and canceled our reservation at One Earth GG Regency.
Rooms were amazing and very spacious. Absolutely amazing location. It is right beside the Golden Temple.
Excellent property to stay! So close to "Golden Temple". Feel like home. Courteous staff! Food and decor of Restaurant is nice. My room - I am staying is very good and having a view of the temple. Worth staying.I will surely come and prefer staying here again in my next visit.
