The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The beds were very comfortable.
The bathroom was spotless.
Overall, the Northwood Plaza Hoel is well maintained.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Outside the hotel it is a bit sketchy but very safe and quiet.

Read the reviews… You’ll know if it’s right for you!
Pros:

Room was decently clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel was located next to a highway so the heavy drapes helped block the noise.

Cons:

Front desk is not staffed so I had to wait for someone to come over from the liquor store. They leave a number for you to call for service. The coffee maker was broken. I did manage to find someone to talk to you before I left. He offered me some coffee pods. Kind gesture, but not much use if I don’t have a coffee maker. Location was at the edge of town and the parking lot was rough to get out to the road. I needed to get back to my highway.

I’ve stayed there twice because it’s the best option for the price and the staff is nice.
Pros:

Best price in town for a clean comfortable night.
Nice staff !

Cons:

It’s a distance from restaurants or shopping areas.
Generally it’s just needing an update or renovation inside and out.

Pros:

Room was mostly clean found bits of food on floor. Bed was clean most important. Place did have nice smell. In middle of night it smelled like cigarette smoke.

Pros:

Good Value, But Be Mindful of the Stairs

Stayed a few nights—rooms were clean and dated, but great shower pressure and friendly staff made it a pretty good value. One important note: access to rooms requires climbing a steep set of 20+ stairs, which can be tough if you have mobility issues. Saturday night was noisy (likely live music), but quieted by 10 PM. The property includes a bar, liquor store, and cannabis shop, with secure guest-only access upstairs. Busy but felt safe. Overall, a good budget stay if stairs aren’t a concern.
