Molly at Reception was just lovely and very efficient in fact all the ladies were wonderful and great reps for the business
The room was extremely hot when I arrived in it. The radiator was actually luke warm. The bathroom could have been cleaner. I arrived just before 9 no food available.
Beautiful hotel right on the beach with a free car park out the back , staff were friendly and food was delicious
Nothing
Poor WiFi in a room.. windows is bit dirt.. The hotel is excellent.
Centrally located - just perfect
WIFI - Never had a good experience with the WIFI at Ocean Sands.
Love this hotel.
The location is great! The room was beautiful, staff at breakfast were lovely. We were given a fantastic welcome which we really appreciated. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic.
Housekeeping was inconsistent and very slow to take dirty plates from room, our fridge was set to -6 and the waters kept freezing. Construction took place at 8:20am on our last morning in the hotel.
Dog friendly and beside the beach.
That breakfast is down a level from the lobby and you’re expected to carry it up on a tray to the lobby when it is dog friendly. This isn’t feasible for everyone, it should be served on the same floor as the other meals.
Location was very good
Staff were very pleasant
Room was difficult to keep cool - garden room with balcony was lovely but on a hot day the air conditioning unit was not adequate
Beautiful dog friendly hotel in a stunning location, literally right on the beach.
Staff were all so warm and friendly.
We stayed in a dog friendly apartment which was lovely and spacious and had an enclosed patio garden which my dog loved.
Lovely vibe in the hotel, we ate and had drinks in the lobby area, food and cocktails were beautiful and good value.
I treated myself to a lovely massage in the spa the following morning which was 10/10!
Highly recommend and we can’t wait to go back again soon.
Fabulous hotel & facilities, beach & walks amazing .l would definitely visit again .
I wouldn't normally write a review like this, but I feel I have a responsibility to warn other travellers.
I originally booked an apartment with my family which was so inadequate — cramped, dirty, and with no hot water — that we had no choice but to relocate. I ended up paying £450 for two nights in a "garden room," which turned out to be no better.
The room was filthy. There was hair all over the bed sheets, dust and dirt throughout, flies roaming freely, and spiders. This is not the standard anyone should accept, let alone pay £450 for.
The issues didn't stop there. The shower door handle fell off completely. There was an ironing board in the room but no iron. The hairdryer didn't work. Most concerningly, the peephole in the room door had no cover whatsoever — meaning anyone walking past could look straight in. I had to cover it with tape myself for basic privacy and security.
The "garden room" is essentially a partition rather than a proper walled room — you can hear every sound from the entire block. Sleep was virtually impossible.
These photos speak for themselves.
