Pros:

The room was very comfortable and large with great amenities. It was a fantastic place to rest after long days on the mountain. The staff were more than willing to help out and give us maps, directions, tips, and even backpacks for hiking. The location is absolutely perfect, right next to the mountains and plenty of restaurants.

Great staff, lovely hotel
Pros:

The staff were all very friendly and helpful even though we didn't speak any Chinese, and they didn't speak any English. Translation apps are amazing, and we made it work without much difficulty. They even helped us book transport for our very early morning train since it was too early for taxis to be available.

When we checked in, it turned out our reservation didn't go into the system right, so they put us in one room the first night and had us move to another for the rest of our stay. A little annoying, but no big deal, and they made it a seamless transition, having the new room ready as soon as we checked out of the first one.

The first room needed the floors and walls to be scrubbed a bit, but was otherwise fine. The second room, however, was lovely and spacious with a great view over the walking street and waterfront park behind the hotel. The bathtub was amazing, the lighting was really pleasant, and it was all beautiful, clean, and comfortable.

Overall, it was a lovely stay :)
