Location for my purposes was why I stayed and the price was not as inflated as other hotels for the local university move out/graduation weekend.
Very run down And The social services live in residents loitering around
We were
We were scared!
Yes
Nothing
Nothing really
There was a lot of banging pn doors Kept hearing strange noises all night Kinda scary
I have stayed at this particular hotel in the past, but it is now off my list. 1) I did not receive the efficiency room I prepaid for, and was told no partial refund would be issued despite a price difference of $25 per day. 2) Guests in the room next to mine were having a loud verbal altercation. The front desk advised me to call the police. 3) The bathroom tile grout contained black mold. The overall condition of the property is in decline. 4) Parking lot light is dim. At night people are in the parking lot drinking beer and smoking. As a lone female traveler this hotel is not worth the risk. Appeared to be clean other than the bathroom mold and saw not evidence of roaches.
The location was the only good thing about this place. Well, it had hot water too.
The smell as soon as you walk in is horrible. It's a halfway house or a shelter too, so you have all kinds of ppl hanging around and making so much noise. Our neighbor was fighting with a man and I almost had to call police. It wreaks of cigars, even tho it's supposed to be non smoking. Ppl were cooking at all hours, and our sheets had blood stains!
The staff could not have been better, she was very helpful and accommodating. She should get a raise.
The property is a disgrace. Broken windows, glass in the parking lot, the halls need paint badly. I did not feel safe. The lobby smelled of urine, the ceiling behind the check in desk needed repair. I would never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.
My room was not serviced once in my 5 day stay. Garbage built up. The breakfast advertised on the website was not available. The internet was inconsistent causing issues if you try to work from the hotel. The fridge could not maintain a food safe temperature. My room was covered in cobwebs and the air conditioner ran either too cold or not at all. Broken glass and piles of cigarette butts greeted me at the entrance to my room from the parking lot. People are living there but seem to be in desperate circumstances. This is not a comfortable place for a vacation or a traveler who wants to feel safe and clean.
I had reserved a room for Suburban and come to find out it's affiliated with Econolodge...so they didn't have that suite available. So I had to take another room through Econolodge.
Not a good practice. I have to say the desk person was helpful.
Nothing. It was terrible. The neighbors was party noisy loud then a fight start between a mam and woman . slamming against wslls glass breaking. I got dress pack up and we left.
It was fairly standard and not exceptional.
Very run down, smelled bad, clientele very sketchy.
Mini-kitchen with cooking gear and utensils in the room with a good-sized fridge. Window could slide open, which was the only way to get some fresh air. Bathroom was quite clean and mostly functional. Bed was OK but sagged towards the middle a bit.
No breakfast there since Sept 2023. Reserved King room, got Queen, staff did not seem to care, "Kings all gone". Many less-used surfaces in the room were very dusty. Floor was not clean; found glitter, grit along the walls, and a nail clipper, a doll's leg and a nasty bunch of wiring under the bedside cabinet, Vent (?) in bathroom was held up with tissue paper and did not vent. Many long-term residents which makes it more like a apartment complex with all the drama that can go along with that, Loud noises until late in the evenings, yelling and cursing in the mornings, Smoke of all kinds everywhere. Did not feel safe. One exit door did not open from the inside on the last night. Two towels were really dirty. Wifi barely worked, alarm clock not at all.
The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and was able to switch our room from the ground floor to the second floor. The bed was also comfortable
The overall state of the hotel was run down. It also appeared to be used for long term rentals and parties. Neither room we had security locks or any type of latch lock just the key entry. First room we had was on the ground floor with 3 points of entry, one being to the parking lot and one to an adjoining room with a party going on. It smelled of cigarettes and pot. Passing by several rooms in the hallway people had their doors propped open, one woman was in her bra and underwear hanging out in the doorway, another man was cooking a venting it into the hallway. Later in the evening there was screaming in the hallway and pounding on the room door next to us with a man threatening another with violence. If there was another option we would have left but everything was booked for the eclipse.
Room was nice comfy, problem was with other customers who were noisy. But all in all it was OK
The location is good, the beds are comfortable, and the studio's kitchen facilities seem good.
There was a really bad smell in the hallway. No one was at the front desk when I arrived to check in and I called multiple times and had to wait for someone to appear. There was no breakfast - just an empty breakfast room - even though I was under the impression that was included. We've stayed here once before but it just seems too sketchy. Not super well lit in places and a bit outdated and dingy.
