Outdated & overpriced.
Pros:

The front lobby was nice.

Cons:

The bathroom was outdated & run down!! The carpet was stained & looked old & dirty. The AC units so old it rattled loudly the entire stay. We posted $170 unacceptable!

Hotel is in need a full rehab but it has a great location
Pros:

Nice location on the river. If it wasn't for the location, and staff they would have gotten a 1 or 2. The hotel was run down and and needs a full rehab. Mattress had a divit, breakfast buffet that was 20.00 had old rubber eggs, grits were gone as well as the gravy for the biscuits. The staff in the restaurant were nice asked if we wanted coffees to go.

Absolutely awful….don’t stay here
Pros:

I am actually shocked how dirty and unkept this hotel is upon a one night visit. Usually a Double Tree is as decent place to stay. Rom carpet, walls, bathroom , even elevators were all disgusting. I’ve travelled the world and it’s probably the worse place I’ve ever stayed.

I would list this a a 2 or 3 star hotel
Pros:

Location is a 9! That is it. Decor is severely dated 2/10, carpets are stained bathroom has dull tile and the bed sags in the middle. Bar is an after thought. The pool is open but very limited seating. Did not experience the gym but I would expect a 30 year old universal machine. The front desk and bell staff were in adequate for check in traffic.

The property was outdated and had a bad smell in the room. The check-in was lengthy. I also received a scam call in my room at 9:00 pm requesting my credit card. I’ve stayed at other Double Tree Hotels before and was definitely expecting a nicer facility.

I stayed at your hotel in Jacksonville over the weekend. I made this reservation about 5–6 months in advance and paid around $600–$860 for the stay, plus additional parking fees. There was also no breakfast included for three guests.

Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations for the price paid. The room did not include a microwave or refrigerator, and the carpets on my floor (4th floor) were extremely dirty. The ice machines on the 5th, 6th, and 7th floors were out of service, and I only found ice on the 8th floor. One of the elevators was also not working.

Although the beds appeared clean, the carpet inside the room had a very unpleasant smell, and the balcony was dirty and smelled bad as well. The bathtub was heavily deteriorated and in poor condition.

For the amount paid, I expected a much better quality stay and overall hotel condition. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, as I did not enjoy my experience.

Run down and dirty

Stayed here for Ironman Jacksonville. This is the most run down dirtiest hotels I have been too. I would not recommend at all and will not be returning.

This is the worst Hilton I have ever stayed in. I am actually crying in my room because it is so dirty, smelly, and disgusting. Unfortunately I got in late and tired. I dont think i can stay all night here. Truly disgusting rooms, the carpet is so dirty and smelly i dont want to take my shoes off! I have NEVER stayed in a hotel with this low a level of cleanliness in my life. Im so afraid. I feel like im in a third world country. This is a one star hotel. Fully expect to see critters.

Warm welcome and Pleasant stay
Pros:

I went with my family to Jax Fl for the first upon arrival early to the hotel with 3 little kids with loaded van was little nervous and anxious not knowing what to do with hand full of little kids .
Upon arrival it was pleasant to meet Ahmed the valet attendant whom was pleasant welcoming, he noticed me anxious he calmed me down and he was great assist throughout my stay . Helping loading offer direction…….,

Old and run down rooms
Pros:

This hotel is WELL OVERDUE for a renovation. The carpet and chairs in the rooms are stained, the showers leak and create a mildew smell that permeates unless the AC is cranked. No mini fridge or microwave! don’t beg for an upgrade- even if your a diamond member- they won’t accommodate you. The only decent room was a suit- do not waste your money on anything less- it’s an extremely unpleasant stay.
Food & Service at the bar are good.
