Scenery
No microwave or mini fridge and shower was cod as ice
room included breakfast, was charged it as well.

Great location on Riverwalk and room had small balcony which we enjoyed. Awesome breakfast buffet with great service.
Nothing
Close to downtown
Water dripping from the fan in the bathroom
Old and dated, household staff wonderful - front office staff not so friendly
No fridge - things didn’t work in room
Nice clean hotel, very nice staff
Mattress was very soft No refrigerator, No microwave ,no soap in bathroom
Staff was very professional. Hotel was very clean.
Everything besides your stay is extra. $22 a night for parking. Breakfast is extra. There wasn’t a microwave or refrigerator in the room. You would think for $143 a night, you would have a microwave and refrigerator.
The location.
No mini fridge, TV had barely any channels and was the most basic cable, bed was not very comfortable because it felt so old, rooms are completely outdated and do not look like the pictures, had a balcony with nothing to sit on to enjoy it, you can hear every single sound in the hallway as well as outside; we were on the top floor (10th) and could hear the cars driving, lastly was the having to pay for parking each night (website said specifically that public parking was paid, but not that guests also paid per night).
Location
Dated. Dirty. Disgusting
Nothing
The room had water stains on the wall, no balcony furniture, the bathroom cabinet looked as if a dog had chewed it to pieces, the showerhead was calcified and green, there was no hot water.....
Personal sehr gut - nett/hilfsbereit
Relativ abgewohnt
location is convienent
the bartenders attitude
The view and location was perfect, we loved th scene from our balcony.
The wait for the elevators was horrible, the mold in the bathroom could have been cleaned, old carpets need to be re done.
The front desk worker, Annett, was very polite and welcoming. Room was cold, beds were good.
The room was not up to par. All furniture was scrapped and beat up. Picture and ceiling had water damage. Housekeeping came knocking at 8am, drilling next door at 8:36, then housekeeping again at 9am. Check out is at 11am not between 8-9am. We had a late night attending a concert and were woken up early not once but three times my two kids and I. No there was no Do Not Disturb sign in the room. Our shampoo/lotion bottles were sticky and seemed to be used before or they just refill them on property. I assumed this property would be better because of the title and Ruth Chris in the same building but I was wrong. Parking isn't through them so you will have to pay 22 a night which after extra fees is close to 30 dollars. They really just need a serious cleanup/update and this hotel would actually meet up to par. Maybe they give the same room to booking.com reservations because I just saw a review with the same pictures from the room they gave me. Also none of the property doors from parking garage, pool, or gate to riverwalk lock. Anyone can just walk in and out of the hotel property which I did not feel completely safe being a mom with two kids.
From the moment I arrived, the staff stood out as exceptionally friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and welcoming. The warm chocolate chip cookie was a simple but much-appreciated touch after traveling.
The location is a major highlight—very walkable and perfectly situated near Friendship Fountain and the Riverwalk trail, which made it easy to explore the area on foot. Parking is available on site through a third-party service for an additional fee, but it felt safe and was very convenient. Overall, the combination of great service, thoughtful touches, and an excellent, walkable location made this a very enjoyable stay.
While the staff at the DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville were very friendly and helpful, there were a few drawbacks to the stay. The rooms are clearly in need of an update, and sound traveled easily through the walls, making it harder to fully relax. I also noticed highway noise at night, as my city-view room faced the road, and the view itself wasn’t particularly appealing.
There is no room service available, and although there is a restaurant on site, it was quite busy and fairly expensive for what was offered. The food was prepared quickly, but the overall value didn’t really match the price. Overall, the experience was mixed—excellent service and a good location, but the room condition, noise, and dining options could definitely use improvement.
It was a confident walk to my work location
The rooms were dirty and not unkept properly.
