The Meliá Costa del Sol Hotel will begin renovations on some rooms from 17 November 2025 until 30 April 2026. These renovations will not affect any services or facilities.

Alles was perfect, de locatie, ontbijtbuffet, gezellige bar, proper, mooi dakterras...
Personeel
Stayed for 3 nights. Level was unavailable due to maintenance, but we had a premium room. Quite small, but adequate for the length of time we were there. We chose half board, I would only go b/b next time, as quality not marvelous and lots of restaurants around about to try. Which we did. We enjoyed the breakfast and great coffee.
Reception efficient and helpful. Bar staff and bar lovely. You never have to wait for service. Entertainment was very good in the evening too. Staff in restaurant were lovely too. Very clean. Standard of housekeeping excellent.
We only needed 1 set of beach towels as weather not suitable for swimming. But we wanted to walk and sightsee. So not sure about changing towels.
The location is brilliant. Would definitely choose this hotel again for our next short break in Spain. Only 15 mins to airport.

Standard pokoi, ogólna czystość i zapach.
Śniadania były dobre, ale trochę poniżej oczekiwań - szczególnie ze względu na mały wybór owoców. Brakowało też mojego ulubionego łososia.
The room was amazing, the hotel was clean and no real signs of wear.
The only thing that would fit in this category was that the lifts are tiny. Three people in one of those is very tight. Dont eat beans before getting on one.
Aan het strand, op loopafstand van het oude centrum (lift) en carihuela. Kamers zijn net nieuw opgeleverd. Geen overlast gehad van bouwwerkzaamheden. Ontbijt is heerlijk.

This hotel is truly exceptional. The reception area alone belies it's location, this is truly top end. The staff are all friendly and helpful, some remember your drinks orders.
Our room was a "Level" room on the 7th floor, and had everything you could want, bar wardrobe space. It was spotlessly clean and the sea view made it really special for us.
There was also nightly entertainment that in general was really entertaining.
The food is the best food we have had in any of the numerous Spanish hotels we have visited. Breakfast had more choice than I thought you could have for breakfast and the evening meal was excellent every evening with a spectacular array on offer, including some fruits we didn't even know existed.
We will definitely return one day, the hotel itself truly made our holiday.

We stayed at Melia Costa del Sol in February 2026 as a couple and had a truly fantastic experience.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt polished and welcoming. The hotel is modern, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. Our room was stylish and comfortable, with a lovely balcony and beautiful sea views. Even in February, the atmosphere around the hotel was relaxed and enjoyable.
The rooftop terrace is a real highlight. The views across the Mediterranean are stunning, and it’s a perfect place to sit with a drink and watch the sunset. The facilities overall were excellent, and everything felt high quality.
Breakfast each morning was superb, with a great variety of fresh options. The staff throughout the hotel were professional, friendly, and attentive — nothing was too much trouble, and their service really stood out.
The only small point for us — and this is purely personal preference — is that the hotel is located in El Bajondillo. While it’s a great beachfront location, we personally prefer staying in La Carihuela. That said, it certainly didn’t take away from how fantastic the hotel itself is.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Melia Costa del Sol to other couples looking for a relaxing, high-quality getaway on the Costa del Sol.

Hotel room itself is fine. And the location is great on the beach and in the town.
However don't pay for the buffet or half board. The food is horrible, we tried literally everything at the buffet and it's all poor quality cheap food.
Parking is a nightmare, you're not allowed to reserve parking before, and when we arrived it was full and ended up paying 35€ a day at the shopping centre next day (parking in the town is impossible).
Also while the photos heavily emphasise the spa, be aware that's extra cost.
Reviews looked great for some reason, but Id suggest doing your research carefully.
