Perfect for a weekend City break
Pros:

Pros:

I have stayed at this hotel several times - twice in the last few months.
I could not recommend it more.
The location is excellent. Right in the heart of the action in Alicante.
The rooms are big and bright with really comfy beds. A great night’s sleep is guaranteed ready to go again the next day!
The food on offer - the breakfast in particular is my absolute favourite. So much to chose from.
The staff are welcoming and friendly - not just reception but the food and housekeeping are also helpful and attentive.

There is some renovation going on at the minute but you would not know unless you see the workers outside. There is zero noise, zero mess and it’s all very well managed.

I can’t wait to hear back to see how they manage to make it even better!!

5 star experience from start to end. Definitely one of my most favourite hotels if not THE favourite!
Pros:

I recently stayed for three nights at the Melia Alicante while visiting my sister, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I stayed in The Level, and from the moment I arrived until I left, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

Sylvia greeted me at reception for both check-in and check-out and was wonderful. Gloria immediately offered me a seat and a drink while I waited to check in, which was such a lovely touch. Both she and Cynthia were incredibly attentive and chatty throughout my stay, making the whole experience feel very personal.

My room was on the top floor overlooking the marina — easily one of the best spots in the hotel. The room itself was immaculate, well equipped, and very comfortable. The housekeeping team also deserve a mention as they were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

As an Independent Travel Agent, I will be highly recommending this hotel — and the wider Melia brand — to my clients. Upgrading to The Level is absolutely worth every penny and offers excellent value for money.

The location is also fantastic, within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafés, and Alicante Old Town, making it the perfect base for a relaxing city getaway

The fact that one bottle of water was complementary for 2 people in a 4 star rated hotel and then I was charged 3.50 for the second bottle on check out after paying over 700 euro for 4 nights in a room that was not what I reserved from the photographs on booking . com
I have stated in many melia hotels and always 2 bottles of water for 2 people

The bed was also very uncomfortable

Lovely hotel, great location.
Pros:

Fantastic location, clean, excellent staff

Cons:

Unable to use the AC as told it was centrally run and not usable, the bedroom was very warm so slept with the balcony door open, not ideal.
