The breakfast staff was very friendly. As was the check in clerk.
There was a strange smell in the room coming from the shower drain. I eventually covered the drain with a towel (used the tub instead) and that helped.
Pool and bar area
Told them it was my anniversary, was hoping for a gesture. No. Underlying cleanliness of hotel was not great. The toilet made a running water sound for a good hour after flushing. No kettle. Asked for one. Got one that switched on but didn’t heat.

Cama muy cómoda, hotel muy cuidado, ubicación perfecta junto a la plaza de España.
Llegamos del concierto al que habíamos ido a las 00.50 y preguntamos en recepción si aún servían comida, nos dijeron que si pero que nos diéramos prisa que cerraban cocina a la 01:00. Llamamos al servicio de habitaciones y pedimos una hamburguesa angus (18,5€) y un brownie con helado y pedimos que lo cargaran en la habitación. 919. Nos dijeron que tardarían como 40 min. A la 1:40 salí al pasillo por si lo hubieran dejado en la puerta pero no había nada, no así en la puerta de los huéspedes de al lado que habían dejado fuera una caja y dos botellas de Coca Cola para que las retirasen (puntualizar que al entrar en la habitación a las 00:50 no estaban ahí, lo cual significa que les sirvieron después) a las 2:22, cansados de esperar, nos fuimos a dormir.
Por la mañana, al hacer el check out le comentamos a la recepcionista lo ocurrido y su respuesta fue “Aquí no hay nada cargado a la habitación, no se les ha cobrado nada”. Me esperaba, siendo un hotel con muchísimo personal y el resto súper amable, que nos hubiera preguntado por lo ocurrido u ofrecido una disculpa. Nada. Se quedó tan fresca. Después de pagar 162€ la noche uno espera un poco más de empatía…
Excellent location in front of the Plaza de España. Spacious modern rooms. Comfortable bed with comfortable chair with chair rest. Professional friendly staff. Great food at breakfast. Good value for money. Lovely pool area
Hated the fact that for both breakfasts which were in a very pleasant cool sunlight patio.....half way through breakfast someone has decided it is a good idea to close the ceiling awning making it dark and gloomy and even worse have at least 8 powerful air-conditioning units blasting out at 17c. This in July where the temperature outside is over 37c during the day so everyone is wearing summer clothes not thick jumpers and woolly hats.
Absolutely ridiculous....ruined our breakfasts.....most of the guests had to either leave or move inside ......
Rationale......a couple of pigeons were fluttering around the tables......on the last breakfast one of the pigeons got trapped inside and was bashing itself in a panic against the glass windows.....very upsetting. We had to get up and ask the waitress to help and then help rescue the poor bird
Not a good experience and ruined an otherwise perfect hotel experience
C'était tout à fait correct, agréable et propre, proche de la place d'Espagne et non loin du centre. Le petit déjeuner très copieux a été très apprécié.
La facturation d'un petit déjeuner en trop alors que je n'étais pas encore arrivé à l'hôtel mais encore dans l'avion aurait dû être évitée.
