Pros:

Great room - large and well-laid out, perfectly quiet. There was space for both my partner and me to work on our computers for a few hours. Bed was extremely comfortable, very clean, smooth sheets, soft, totally sleepable. Bathroom seemed recently renovated. Free breakfast. We just overnighted - not there long enough to try the facilities. Luxury hotels have palatial lobbies and smaller rooms. I prefer a place like this, with a larger, well-designed room and modest lobby, at 1/4 of the price.

Clean, convenient to downtown Hartford
Pros:

The young man working the front desk was very friendly and personable. I didn't catch his name, but he had a good vibe. Overall, the hotel was very clean; I did see two bugs, but my room looked like it had been cleaned thoroughly before my stay. In terms of location, it's convenient to downtown Hartford. I had a show at the Bushnell that evening, and it took maybe seven minutes to get there by taxi. Breakfast was decent.

Cons:

I did see two bugs (one was dead). Apart from that, it's a bit isolated, despite being so close to Hartford. There isn't really much in walking distance, apart from a dispensary.

Good - if you like the smell of weed in the air

Despite no smoking signs, it is apparent that many selfish guests just don’t care
