- big room
- great cleaning staff
- great shower with good water pressure
- convenient power outlet locations
- helpful and friendly staff
- superb location
Some basic things that id expect from a 4 star hotel that fell short sadly
- bed mattress was somewhat lumpy, it had seen better days
- small tv (not a smart tv, crackling audio so basically unusable)
- 1 ply toilet paper (for a 4 star hotel)
- water provided in glass bottles that were not resealable (so they couldn't be taken with you for the day)
- this is a large (~20 floors) busy hotel with conference spaces, and they have four lifts. Sadly for much of the stay one or two were out of service which could mean waits of 10+ to go downstairs. Two lifts are small and awkwardly shaped (to show off the view) but also not air-conditioned, so it gets hot fast. Not much they can really do about this but it was bit of a thorn for me.
Room very clean, staff very friendly... hotel near shopping complex
Perfect location, close to Imbi train station, close to the big shopping mall, walking distance to other attractions.
Room was ok, everything clean.
Pool also ok although someone could have taken care of people's leftovers more often.
What we ideed liked was the terrace on 18th floor. It doesn't overlook the whole town but still its majority. It is underrated. If I were the hotel management I would put more attention into it. It should be open until late hours, e.g. midnight and with onsite drink bar. I would also install movable awning, to string up when raining. In my opinion such terrace is really the added value.
Location
Staff were not able to little out of the way for anything
Excellent Location, comfortable rooms, good service, pleasant staff. Very close to all the shopping malls and Monorail.
Never got 1 good nights sleep. Unfortunately the windows are not double glazed so we could hear all the traffic right through the night. The road outside was always busy and noisy. As it was Chinese New Year, Berjaya Times Square set up a live performance with speakers etc. We never slept at all that night as we heard all the setting up and performances etc.
Location of hotel is excellent but we were always exhausted from lack of sleep.
Hotel in very good location, spacious room.
My room was in 1st floor, it was impossible to have the elevator to go down. I was forced to use stairs. I was maybe lucky to be in 1st floor then.
Noise from neighbors and corridors spatially in late night time.
Poor quality breakfast
From staff to room everything was great
I'd say only thing missing is a washing mashin in room.
Clean and wide rooms
The hotel near to everything
The location is accessible, opposite of the hotel is berjaya times square, walking distance to pavilion, sungai wang,lot10...
Breakfast spread is good!
I stayed from Fri till Monday....
On Sunday n Monday is peak period of checkout... The lift is slow and 2 of it is not working, indicate under maintenance!
We asked for concierge service to bring our luggage down, none of them responded to our request...
At cafe/restaurant,during our breakfast on Monday... I believe they have shortage of manpower in the ground floor.. service is slow of cleaning the tables n utensils.
The management should look into it.
Good location
The bathroom had not been cleaned properly. There were spots on the floor which could have been wiped off.
Hotel location is very good, situated in the middle of the shopping disctrict - bukit bintang. Rooms are nice, clean but a bit outdated. TV are old. Food also is good. Staff are also pleasant and helpful, especially Mr Sazali Abdullah who was in charge of housekeeping level 12. The sad thing though, the lift service is really bad. Out of 4 lifts, only 2 are working. Had to use the staff lift to go to my room and function room. Hope they renovate and upgrade the rooms and lifts soon.
My room was in first floor so It was bit noisy night time
Cleanness
very neat
Comfort
spacious
Few elevators for a big hotel
Few breakfast options
Hotel is well located opposite the shopping mall Berjaya Times Square. Lobby is lovely and rooms are large and very clean. Real shame the at the F&B late night service let the hotel down, to the extent that I checked out and moved to Hotel Royal KL round the corner, which was superb. I frequently stay at the Melia around the world as a treat, and felt extremely disappointed that their normal high standards were not met. However, my concerns were addressed very quickly (next morning) with a personal apology from the Guest Experience Manager (Ms Izzati Razali) and a complimentary upgrade on my next stay along with a complimentary Grab ride to my next hotel. Greatly appreciated the promptness and courtesy with which my complaint was addressed.

I very rarely write a review as soon as I’ve taken up residence but thought this hotel warranted it
Checked in at 11pm after my flight was delayed by over 3 hours. When asked reception if food was available I was initially directed to walk outside and down a long dark road as a solo female in an unknown country. Was reluctantly then told 24 hr Room Service was available when questioned directly
No menu in room Took 1hr 10 mins with 5 repeated phone call prompts to get a room service menu - QR code on a little card. Was then informed it would take a further hour to prepare food Been trying room service to order food for the last half hour with no response.
Given that the time is now 12:59am - I am giving up and feasting on a packet of biscuits I have in my bag
Have low blood sugar and it is essential that I eat.
Incredibly disappointed with the level of service given that this is a Melia and had booked this hotel with the expectation of a higher standard
