Our stay at Hotel Devin was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The welcome drink was a lovely touch, and our room was ready quickly, making check-in seamless and relaxing.

We stayed in a beautiful triple room that was both spacious and very comfortable, with excellent facilities throughout. The food was another highlight — both breakfast and lunch in the bar were delicious and of high quality.

The hotel’s location is perfect, right on the riverfront and within easy walking distance of local attractions, bars, and restaurants, making it an ideal base for exploring the city.

The spa and pool area were spotless and provided the perfect setting to unwind. The treatments were excellent and offered great value for money.

We truly couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough — a fantastic experience all around.

Pros:

Perfekte Lage in der Innenstadt, Blick auf die Donau. Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und erholsam.

Cons:

Das Frühstücksangebot hat über die Jahre leider stark nachgelassen (Tiefkühl-Aufback-Gebäck, geschmacklose Mehlspeisen).
Sehr enge Duschkabine, die Wassertemperatur schwankt selbsttätig.

I rarely spend time writing reviews, and out of sympathy for the hardships faced by the service industry, I refrain from posting negative comments. However, my experience at the Devin Hotel was truly unpleasant.
1. If a hotel is worried about guests stealing items from the mini-bar, it can simply not provide them. This hotel made guests pay a €140 deposit for this, and the deposit wouldn't be returned to their bank account until a week after normal check-out (the front desk would tell you it would be there immediately). It wasn't about the money; it was the unpleasant experience from beginning to end.
2. The so-called sauna and pool had very limited opening hours, and one of the two saunas was broken. The massage service was even more outrageous. When his hand touched me, I almost jumped out of my skin from the cold—it felt like encountering a ghost on Easter. The massage was weak and shaky. It was insane. I chose a massage that included a face, but after massaging my back and neck, he just walked away? I lay there for a while before going out to ask him, and he said, "Sorry, I didn't know..."
3. I called to inquire because I hadn't received my deposit, but the customer service representative didn't want to resolve the issue and told me to email them with a clear explanation! My English is excellent; why did I need to email such a simple question? Later, because I was angry, I said that if I needed assistance from another department, I should be transferred immediately, and only then did she transfer me.

I especially want to warn solo female travelers from Asia, or other Asian travelers, to avoid this hotel. Your politeness will only invite more offense; you can sense that their staff treats the vulnerable or foolish with disdain. Avoid this hotel!
