very clean and great smell and wonderful staff
the walking distance from the hotel to the parking lot
The location is prime
The rooms could have been much cleaner
From check in with SEAN T to the beautiful clean suite,to dinner at the restaurant with DEREK helping us….this overnight stay was perfect! The Westin in Philly is beautiful! The hotel was very clean and housekeeping obviously took pride in their work. The hotel is connected to a mall at Liberty Place which is also a very nice shopping area. Westin is making Marriott proud! Hold on to your Westin Philly staff, you have some of the nicest people working for you that I have ever met!
Checking in was a breeze and the staff was lovely. The room was a bit outdated, the hot/cold lever in the shower came off while we were using and the AC barely worked, the room felt a bit musty with the carpet as well. For 1 night it was fine, I wouldn't stay there more than that. Free Starbucks coffee in the lobby is a nice wake up treat.
We had a reservation at The Westin Philadelphia for January 9, 2026, and it was canceled without any notice or explanation. We traveled all the way from Los Angeles and did not find out until we arrived at the hotel, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber.
To make matters worse, the Director of Front Desk, Farrukh Anwar, was absolutely horrible. He showed zero professionalism, zero empathy, and made no effort to help us find another hotel or provide any alternatives. No accountability, no solutions—just indifference. That is not how a director, or anyone in hospitality, should treat guests.
This situation left us stranded in Philadelphia with no room, no explanation, and no support. For a Westin property, this level of service is shocking and embarrassing. The front desk clearly needs more professional, competent leadership, because the current management failed us completely.
I strongly advise anyone traveling especially from out of state to think twice before booking here. This was a stressful, disappointing experience that could have easily been avoided with basic communication and professionalism.
Lovely hotel. The staff is amazing. Rooms are spacious.
Staff are knowledgable of the area and services available. The servers/ bar people in the restaurant are fast and friendly.
I typically order the Westin Breakfast and have enjoyed it numerous times. The oatmeal is also delicous. For dinner I've had the salmon as well as one of the salads. Both were flavorable. Food delivery is well set up - there is a table across from the check in desk for food delivery so pick up is in the lobby.
Making reservations on the Marriott Bonvoy app is easy.
The hotel is city center. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to Drexel, UPenn, and CHOP.
We will return.
I had an amazing stay. There was a gentleman named Terence who checked me in and showed me the way to the elevators because it was a little confusing lol. If he’s not a manager already, he needs to be. He was courteous, polite and made my stay that much better . He reassured me that if there was anything I needed that he would be at the front desk. I will definitely be staying here again.
