Close proximity to interstate 435 makes the commute to almost anywhere within the KC metro area a quick and easy task.
The staff has ALWAYS been exceptionally polite and overall helpful throughout the many years I’ve happened to stay here while In town.
The property grounds have always been well kept and inviting. Never a problem with trash littering the property or sketchy people hanging around.
Honestly this is in my opinion - the BEST place to stay in Kansas City. Even when comparing to the more boutique places such as Loews, etc…this place takes the cake.
There’s nothing to complain about. At all.
There was no breakfast. I had coffee. One night. We're told go down the street to eat.

The size of the room and the bed was comfortable. Every staff member that I encountered was nice. It was a good price.
The room wasn't really clean. The bathroom smelled like urine... maybe old urine or pet urine. I had to clean it extra and that only mostly took care of the smell. At some point I found blood stains on my comforter. My pillow cases weren't clean. The The floors weren't clean. The restaurant did not open the whole time we were there. There was no breakfast the whole time we were there. There was a huge live in fly that was there when we got there and we could not get rid of him. There was no screen for the patio door so we couldn't open the door. The windows on the door itself were very dirty. The room smelled stale. The tv was too old to sign into and only had regular tv guide stations. They did not do a check in the whole time we were there to see if we needed anything. We were there for 4 days and 3 nights.

Beautiful location, lovely patios, and near a lot of restaurants
The workout facility was ABYSMALLY stocked. It only had dumbbells, a treadmill, and either an elliptical or a bike. I also kept running into problems with the internet. The staff was extremely helpful in resolving those issues though. Also you couldn’t reach any restaurants via walking, which was annoying
Nothing
The room was dirty. The breakfast was practically non existent. The bathroom was dirty. The entire facility was dirty.
If you have been in any Sonesta Select, they are pretty much all the same. The rooms are big, old dated, breakfast is small but at 12 dollars, and nothing is too fancy nor too bad.
They need to update the rooms
