Love how it has a bar inside. Rooms were clean and staff was nice.
There was a group of baseball kids staying there. Kids kept running around the hotel, screaming using the elevator as a game. A total of 15 girls would get in it and go up and down non stop. The worst part were their drunk parents. They were super loud up until 2am. Called the front desk twice to have this issue dealt with but nothing happened since the staff said that those parents would listen to them. Those people should have had some courtesy and respect since so many ppl were staying there to get some rest and got none.
Breakfast was amazing. So many really good options and all high quality. And we could bring our little dog with us. I liked the “quiet hours” and folks seemed to honor it. They are very dog friendly which was critical for our stay.
They could have posted the additional pet fee and parking fee on the booking site.
It was great to be able to walk right to the hotel after the Fair. We were allowed to have a 2pm check out time.
The TV system kept turning itself off when I walked to another room. The toilet paper holder was difficult to use & even fell off one time. Big mark on the wall behind the TP holder missing paint. The cabinet below the kitchenette was wonky & would not shut. The lighting in the living room area was very dim.
Stayed 6 nights over the July 4th holiday with my husband and two boys (15,12) to visit the San Fran area. Pros: walking distance to train to take to a ferry in to the city, front desk ladies were friendly and happy to assist, lots of seating in the public areas, good security with the Marin Fair going on, housekeeping delivered items promptly, laundry room available however only one washer, one dryer, omelet station great, rest of breakfast area standard. Cons: dirty-commons areas rugs hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time and were stained, garbages in commons areas overflowing, plates/cups used by guests and left outside rooms were not picked up in a timely fashion, patio area outside pool very dirty-needed to put down towels to sit on, evening reception snacks varied but ran out quickly, no restaurants within walking distance, dirty grout in bathrooms, rooms showing some wear. Overall, decent stay but lower than other Embassy Suites we have stayed at.
Friendly staff, great location, parking fee is very reasonable. Breakfast and complimentary happy hr drinks (2 per adult) included.
Facility and location was excellent.
We asked for a late check out, to which was not shared with housekeeping staff. We worked late and were woke by housekeeping not once but twice. This was very frustrating.
Great gym, breakfast, and games accessible for family.
AC in our room didn't work. They tried fixing it, but with no luck. Couldn't relocate to another room due to our party size.
Front desk staff were very helpful. I needed a room on the first floor close to the enterance bc I was traveling with an elderly family member, and they were accommodated and assisted. Also, breakfast we very nice.
Have stayed at this hotel a few times while in the area and thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The natural light that flows through the spacious atrium is wonderful, and the little pockets of seating on the ground floor are perfect for gathering.
The rooms are enormous! Perhaps not the newest, but well kept and always clean; comfortable beds and bedding. The layout allows for privacy when needed and tons of space when you don’t. The staff and service is great - very friendly and accommodating. Ask the front desk about the aviary.
My favorite perk, though, has to be the made to order omelettes at breakfast. Patrick is a culinary genius! The pride in his craft comes through with every bite. And talk about multitasking! Definite pro, 12/10 recommend. Big shout out to the attentive breakfast crew, as well, for keeping the hot food replenished and especially the coffee.
Lastly, I’m thrilled the hotel allows you to bring your fur babies. Anyone who has one knows what a comfort it is to have them with you when away from home. Major bonus points for that for sure.
It’s a great hotel! Will come back when visiting.
We enjoyed very much our stay at embassy suites, San Rafael. It was easy to walk over to see the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Civic center and there was a small pond to walk around which was a bonus. As always, breakfast was delicious...made even better by Patrick who always prepared our omelets and eggs just right and always with a smile. Thank you, Patrick and the rest of the very helpful wait staff.
Loved the breakfast experience there!! Very friendly service!! All the Latino workers were so kind and made the most amazing omelets!
