The location for this hotel is perfect. Plenty of businesses/ resturantes around. Check in was wonderful, and the room is clean and very beautiful.
Country Inn and Suites offers clean and neat and
Country Inn and Suits offers very comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price.
Breakfast is quite nice too.
The lady who worked the front desk was very kind did give my family two rooms , and even tried to see if she another room when I voiced some serious concerns. But I ended up going next door to the Hampton Inn instead. What were the serious concerns ? At least for all the rooms on the 1st floor there is a severe mold issue and you can smell the moisture and mildew as soon as you turn to the left from the reception desk. Room 138 and 139 has a SEVERE URINE smell in the entirety of the room, the paint was peeling from the ceiling and walls, there were rust holes in the all the furniture , and slimey mold on the bathroom fixtures. Also, there was more outdoor life in the room than the actual outdoors. I tried Lysoling everything, and when I pulled back the covers from the already moist bed, there were spiders and what I assume were types of millipedes crawling under the sheets and in the pillows. If you’re Beetlegeuse this is an excellent place to sleep, if not, avoid the first floor at all costs. I don’t know what the other rooms look like , some people have wrote good reviews, just don’t let them book you in the dungeons.
It's a nice place...I wish the pool was operational. That would have enhanced the experience. The indoor pool was a deciding factor in my choice of hotels.
The room was damp. Mildew in the Shower. The Bathroom door wouldn't close. You could barely open the bathroom door into the room. It was the dirtiest room and even though they remolded the outside and lobby, the rooms were not worth the price of 156.00.
We stopped and stayed here on our way back to Georgia. The hotel is conveniently located off the interstate. The check in was easy, the girl at the desk had a great personality, super friendly and took care of our check in quickly. The room was clean and well maintained. There is free breakfast, but not a lot of options, but there were waffles. The pool is permanently closed, which is weird because it looked fine so not sure what’s going on there.
My family stayed two nights in the double beds suites. The room was very large; we had a family reunion in the living room area. The hot breakfast was delicious.
Our car broke down and we needed a place to stay that would allow dogs. Country Inn & Suites was great. Samantha at front desk was very friendly & helpful. Rooms were very clean. The hotel is located near several restaurants. I definitely would recommend this hotel.
This is an excellent hotel. The room was immaculate, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. In particular, Samantha at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful.
The lobby is comfortable to relax and read. Last night, we had our takeout dinner on the porch.
I read about 20 reviews some good some bad , well I've stayed in some pretty scummy places and some 5 stars .
This is a great hotel for the fantastic price & location , it was very clean & the beds are so comfy ,the TV was huge .
Not sure about breakfast but I'm sure it will be just fine , nice mico & refrigerator.
I did notice the pool was OUT of order but I'm just heading down to Florida from NJ . definitely would stay here again 🌞
While I hate to be negative, I think this hotel was the worst I’ve ever been in. From the disgusting sticky floors to the leaking toilet seal to the dirty towels and sheets to the foul smell and cockroaches, I was amazed they had the audacity to charge over $200 per room even after the AAA and Military discounts. It was beyond terrible, a new low for me. I gave it one star because zero is not an option. I cannot strongly enough recommend finding somewhere else to stay and save your money for a nice place. I really hope the rest of their hotels are in better repair, cleaner, and better managed!
We have stayed here quite a few times over the years when traveling from RI to FL. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfy. Breakfast selection is more than adequate for travelers and it is included. Staff is pleasant. Location is near numerous restaurants and has easy access to the highway.
A nice overnight stop with friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Driving to Florida we hit a terrible storm and didn't have a change to research where to stay as we had planned to go farther. Everything worked out with this hotel being very accommodating. Lovely, refurbished rooms.
The person that checked me in by the name, Denise was very polite, knowledgeable, and overall very professional. She made my stay even better. they should be more employees just like her to be welcome people into the hotel.
Looks like old prison converted to hotel . We stayed one night driving through to Florida.
Don’t let nice lobby deceive you ! This place is a dump ! Dirty smelly halls , sketchy people living there full time. Crammed double beds into tiny tiny rooms . Had to climb over bed to get bathroom . Mold in bathroom shower.
People fighting in parking lot at 1 am , at 3 am truck picking up dumpster from parking lot ..load buzzing in hallway .
Talk about Motel Hell . This was the worst !!
En route between Florida and New Jersey, we booked online a room at the Country Inn & Suites in Roanoke Rapids, NC, for an overnight stay. We booked a room advertised online as featuring two double beds, an oversized walk-in shower, and refrigerator and microwave. Instead, our room had one double bed, a bathtub (with no shower curtain, although the friendly front desk clerk did install one for us at our request), and no microwave. We had brought our dinner with us, since as vegetarians we often have difficulty finding a good meal on the road. However, we ended up having no choice but to head to a restaurant since there was no microwave available for us--not in our room, not in an empty room nearby, not in the kitchen area. (Again, the friendly front desk clerk did her best to help but to no avail.)
On the positive side, the room was clean and quiet, breakfast was decent, and the staff members we talked with tried to be helpful. The morning desk clerk told us that in the future, we should not book online (good-bye, reward points?) but should call the hotel directly to make sure that we can get the room we would like to have. I am writing this review to share that advice so that other travelers won't receive an accommodation that's less than advertised. We will most likely not return!
Senteur très désagréable, micro onde ne fonctionnait pas,hôtel très négligée
Booked a handicapped room. It was Ted available at check in. But they showed me several rooms until they found one I could use.
Good
The location of this hotel is conveniently located right off of I-95. There's plenty of restaurants, hotels and gas stations nearby. Cracker Barrel is a 3 minute walk from the hotel.
Upon check in, the staff was friendly but were experiencing serious issues with the new system that was put in place that day. As a result, they were overwhelmed with people at the desk and the phone.
We had reservations for a non smoking, pet friendly room. However to our dismay we were told that they didn't have any pet friendly rooms available. In the end, we were put in a smoking room which the stench was overpowering. Having no choice, we had to accept the room.
The beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet but it was much smaller than what the pictures show on their website. The bathroom had a large walk in shower which was nice. The breakfast was well stocked. The pool looked nice but was closed for some reason.
It was ok for a one night stay.
