Location was central
Nothing
Best location right next to the train station and short walk to everywhere else. Hotel is a bit dated but bed was comfy. Overall quite a good place.
There are many many stairs to get to ur room
The breakfast was nicely cooked and served. There was adequate choice.
The hotel decor was in need of a refurbishment.
Location
Mouldy ceiling, dirty windows, very dated, TV not working.
We needed somewhere near to the train station so it was great for us! It was also handy for the city centre shops. The staff were helpful and there were some lovely original features, such as the staircases.
Our room was certainly clean but a bit shabby. The upholstered end of the bed was ripped in several places. The handle had come off the bedside draw so it was unusable. Everything looked a bit tired and in need of a refresh.
Hotel reception good and restaurant all good, food and good value. Great location. Found the LNER parking worked out best. Once you spoke with right person things were sorted.
We booked 2 Superior twins for 4 nights and were really disappointed the hotel shows images that look like all refurbished they were not recently. We paid £147 per room without breakfast booked 5 months in advance. One room was internal with no opening window and no air conditioning it was unbearable, fans provided but just blowing same air around. We were able to move after one night.
het ontbijt, het personeel is vriendelijk.
Het is verouderd. Ik vond de buurt ook niet prettig.
Staff and breakfast were great
'Didn't like' seems harsh, but just to note it has obviously been a fancy hotel in the past and just looks a little tired. Can't really fault it for a one night stay for our daughter's graduation.
Location
Very dated and run down. In need of a lot of repairs and improvements
Location was great.
Our room was so hot and i pulled the bedside cabinet out to use the plug and it was absolutely filthy behind. This alone will put me off
The £50 card hold has been taken as a payment and not a hold so now awaiting that to be refunded.
Centra location, room size, quiet room. Friendly, helpful reception staff.
