The Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor's Club

The front desk was so friendly and helpful. When they found out it was my birthday, I received a free perk. The hotel is beautiful and close to the Capitol, State Street, the Overture, and so much more. I would highly recommend.

Went with my family for the 1st time for the New Years Eve Party. The employees were amazing, they treat us very well. We had a nice room with a great view which we were able to see fhe Capitol, also food, music and drinks were amazing. We totally recommend and we definitely como bsck.

We went to the Madison Concourse for their NYE gala. It was wonderful, with a great dinner of surf and turf, a funny comedian, and a choice of two bands or a DJ for the party. The room exceeded our expectations as well, and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Actually, the best surprise was the New Years Day brunch which was amazing.

We have visited the governors club for about 10 years annually. It is a beautiful place to go with other couples, or alone with your spouse. The atmosphere from the lobby, to the restaurant, to the Club guest rooms and even just the hallways- is inviting and fun. We love the Governors Club Lounge because it is an all in one package for a night of cocktails and appetizers with top shelf liquors and wines with a beautiful view of the capital, and then just a few steps to your bed!! and then-breakfast in he Club Lounge the next morning! Occasionally, we will leave the Club Lounge, and walk around downtown Madison to other local bars and restaurants of which there are many amazing ones! If you go in the summer, they have a farmers market on the square which is so fun to walk around during the day for. This hotel offers a free shuttle around town for shopping or going to grab a drink at another bar for a bit- which was fantastic for our winter stay-no walking in the cold! The bartenders at The Club Lounge are always exceptional. The Governors Club rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The hours of the Club Lounge are 4:30-10 (this is the time when all of your drinks are "complimentary." NO matter what you order!

It’s not a trip to Madison without a stay at the Concourse. Location is unmatched and the staff is amazing. Parking was easy, had great capital bites from our room, and the food was excellent. They are a wonderful independent hotel.

Wife and I had wonderful stay. Central location allowed walking to awesome restaurants. Staff pleasant. Rooms nice/clean. Had access to Governor’s club amenities that put the really made the experience special. Weekday rate in December was great value for all the above reasons.

We stayed at the Madison Concourse Hotel during a Badger football weekend. Usually prices are jacked up for football weekends, but our stay was very reasonably priced! In fact, I booked the hotel three weeks out and still got a fantastic deal! There are only a handful of hotels located right downtown and the Madison Concourse is one of the better options! Located just steps from the Capital and State Street and a short walk to the Kohl center and Camp Randall, I would highly recommend the Madison Concourse hotel!

Loved the location, the Hotel is in walking distance of a lot of shopping, restaurants and other venues. We were pool side and could not hear any noise coming from the pool area. Rooms were very clean and spacious. we didn't eat at the restaurant in the hotel, but from what i saw the food looked really good, liked the Starbucks located there also. I was expecting to pay more for the room, especially pool side... comparable to the rest of the hotels in the area. Would definitely stay there again!!!

They have comfortable clean, spacious rooms.

They have a restaurant and bar. I tried the bar; has drinks, sandwiches, and appetizers - which were pretty good. Handful of seats around the bar and handful of tables - and even plush chairs at one point.

Staff was friendly.

Check-in was quite slow; their computer system must take longer than other places I've stayed.

Bathroom wasn't ideal for me - couldn't see to go in - needs a night light or something - very dark; the main switch is almost behind the door when it is open. Besides that, everything was excellent.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Concourse Hotel on the evening of my husband's final day of work before retirement, and the staff made the occasion truly memorable. Waiting for us was a thoughtful surprise: a heartfelt card on the bed, a towel “cake” complete with a candle, and a delightful treat of prosecco with chocolate-dipped strawberries. It was unexpected and incredibly touching. Although the hotel is older, our room had been beautifully refurbished. We've stayed there many times over the years and have always enjoyed our visits—the location and amenities are unbeatable. We’ll definitely continue choosing the Concourse for our little getaways in the future.

Absolute wonderful anniversary weekend! Truly enjoyed the Governor’s Club amenities. Highly recommend this hotel as it is within walking distance to the Capitol, many restaurants and the Overture Center.

My friends and I booked a girls' trip to the Concourse so we could hang out and play board games in the Governor's Club and just enjoy a night spent together. Our room had a gorgeous view of Lake Mendota, every single person working there that we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful, and the food & drink provided in the Governor's Club was top-notch (as was the view of the Capitol!). If the food hadn't been so good we could've walked right out the door of the hotel and been within five minutes of dozens of excellent restaurants and bars. I literally cannot recommend the Concourse Hotel enough, and I can't wait to book another stay!

I had a truly pleasant experience during my stay at the Madison Concourse Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed—perfect for relaxing after a long day.
The location is ideal, with easy access to downtown attractions, restaurants, and the Capitol. I especially appreciated the quality of the amenities, including the fitness center and on-site dining.

My favorite hotel in Madison. Great location, very friendly staff and all the amenities you would need/want. This is our 3rd time staying here as it has become our "go to" place when visiting Madison.

Visited Madison for a Big Ten football game, I’ve stayed at the Concourse several times, highly recommended for just about everything. And a big shout out to Nitika who is simply the best!!!!

The location was great being so close to the square with lots of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a great view of the capital building!

This was our first time staying at The Madison Concourse Hotel & we loved it! You feel welcome the moment you walk in. The front desk staff is so helpful and friendly. Check-in and check-out were a breeze! Get a Governor's Club Room so that you can enjoy The Governor's Club Lounge! The private elevator, friendly staff and complimentary amenities make you feel well taken care of, spoiled even! We were lucky enough to get a late checkout - with no extra charge! The Circ Restaurant's salad bar was wonderful with delicious extras such as soups, sandwiches, pastas, fruits, charcuterie, desserts etc! Service was amazing. We would love to stay again during our next trip to Madison!

They have earned my business for life. This was the second time my wife and I stayed here. The first time was our first date and then most recently for out honeymoon. The staff, to include at the front desk, in the Governor's Club, cleaning, and building maintenance staff was all polite and welcoming from interactions ranging from passing by to spending the evening with them enjoying appetizers, drinks, and my wife's favorite, the desserts. Finding a comfortable place to grab a good bite of food or a quick drink was easy and comfortable. For those questioning if the jump up to the Governor's club is worth it, absolutely yes. The breakfast, drinks, appetizers, and desserts were incredible. Our first stay was great in the normal rooms and this time was even better getting to experience all the hotel has to offer. The rooms were clean and came with incredible views of the lakes and city. We were looking for things to do and places to visit and everyone we spoke with had a great deal of knowledge of the area, the history, and even the schedules of local events. The location is close to many restaurants, parks, the university, a comedy club, the capital, and so much more. You can find almost anything you want within a 20 minute walks. The first day we mostly relaxed following a busy wedding week and it was so easy to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and of course the incredibly comfortable beds. The pool and fitness area was great. Im a big sauna fan and it was very appreciated that each morning I could go down and start my day with a dip in the pool and finish it with a hot sauna. The parking ramp was easy to use and navigate as well as nice to have off street parking for our vehicle and personal belongings we left in our vehicle. We can't wait to come back and have another enjoyable experience at the Madison Concourse.
