Great hotel, but communication needs improvement

Stayed over Valentine’s for a long weekend and overall had a lovely experience. The room was excellent — very spacious, a big comfortable bed, and fantastic views from the top floor. Breakfast was also a highlight, with plenty of choice and great quality.

However, the hotel is currently undergoing major renovation work. Only the top three floors are being used for guests, and the entire outdoor pool area is closed. This was disappointing, especially as there’s no mention of the pool closure on their website. Guests should really be informed about this in advance, as it’s a significant part of the facilities.

A great stay, but clearer communication would make a big difference.

Pros:

Fuimos por el cumpleaños de mi hija y el personal decoró la habitación para ella, de verdad estuvieron súper atentos a cada detalle. Además que la vista desde la habitación era preciosa incluso con la lluvia que caía, y el desayuno super surtido, incluso más que el melia de Madrid. De verdad top!

Wir waren zweimal in diesem Hotel. Beide Male über Booking gebucht. Und wenn man über Booking bucht bekommt man die Zimmer mit der schlechteren Aussicht.

Pleasant stay
Pros:

Location is nice for the views at beach, sunset and Sitges, but 20-25 mins walk to train/bus to barca. For work events convenient for a few days. No shops directly nearby.
Very good gym where you can train everything. Maintenance could be improved which you see in many small things. Feels typical Spanish to not have things fixed instantly and have it perfect.
It’s quite when you choose the marina side away from the train track. Staff member was annoyed when I asked for a room change and tried to convince me that the room I initially got ( almost closest to the train track) was not close to it.
Unpleasant attitude after he already didn’t listen to me asking for this at check-in.
Other staff was very friendly.
It was very quiet that week

A lot of small things are broken or loose. (Handle sliding door, gym machines needing oiling, all tables in open work space downstairs are extremely wobbly, door not closing, broken ligt for a week etc) just small things for showing willingness to have things prefect.
