A lovely boutique hotel, very high standard and a great place to reset on a visit to Bakewell 5/5
Pros:

Everything was so well appointed and clean, I could have believed it was brand new. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had aircon in the room which was perfect. The bar/restaurant is on site and handy for breakfast and a quick coffee recharge.

Cons:

Parking was a pain, Bakewell is not great anyway so not the fault of the hotel. It didn't help it was a particular busy weekend, I think it was carnival or something, but you are right in the centre so that worked out ok (after we found a parking space ;))

Pros:

The location and quality of the room was great, the rooms were spacious and comfortable with a good bathroom and shower.

Cons:

there was a small balcony to sit out on but unfortunately the condition of the furniture wasn't good, they were covered in pigeon poo and there was a nest under one of the seats.
We had a little bit of rain and the balcony didn't drain of well so puddled which again didn't make for a comfortable moment

Very bad service, staff attitude problem
Cons:

When I booked through Booking.com, breakfast was advertised at £12. However, upon arrival the General Manager on reception, informed us that breakfast would actually cost £15. I couldn't actually book the room with breakfast included and said this was becasue they'd have to pay extra commission to booking.com.
When we reached our room, the information provided there clearly stated that breakfast was £12. I showed this to the receptionist, but her response was dismissive, stating that the information was "old." She then said we could have breakfast for £12 only if we sat outside with non-resident guests and paid extra for tea and coffee.
This made little sense, particularly as complimentary tea and coffee were already provided in the room. Rather than continue the discussion, we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel and ate elsewhere instead.
I have since noticed that other guests have raised similar concerns regarding breakfast pricing. Clear and consistent information should be provided across all booking platforms, reception, and in-room materials to avoid confusion.
The hotel's website states: “Hospitality is our passion, ensuring your stay is memorable!” Unfortunately, our stay was memorable for the wrong reasons. I found the receptionist to be unfriendly, unhelpful, and lacking the customer service skills expected in a hospitality environment.
Attention: I would suggest either ensuring that your website's hospitality message is reflected in the service guests actually receive, or addressing the standards of customer service being delivered by your management team.
Also be aware that our room overlooked the side of the Co-op, which wasn't a particularly pleasant view.
