The location was ideally located in the centre of Bakewell. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed with an excellent bathroom
The housekeeping on the second wasnt really up to standard of a boutique hotel. The towels were left untidy in the bathroom and our water glasses were not cleaned or put away.
I personally would like breakfast to be included in the in the rate even if it costs more
Fantastic hotel in great location. Fabulous, friendly staff.. Highly recommended
The hotel was fab, the room beautiful and spotlessly clean, really well appointed and a fabulous little balcony which caught the evening sun.
It was very noisy from very early in the morning, a squeaky door in the hall immediately outside our room, and lots of delivery vehicles outside. Disturbed sleep from about 5am. But it is town centre…..so understandable the hotel can’t do much about it. Squeaky door needs sorting though
Really lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Bakewell. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely big room with air conditioning
The room was pretty good and was comfortable.
There was no mini bar / no drinks in the fridge. The fridge had 2 bottle of mineral water. Usually one expects some refreshment soft drinks/ Nuts in the fridge and some chocolates but these items were not there if we compare your hotels with hotels in Austria in Salzburg ( Huberhaushof Hotel ) a small town like Bakewell the hotels there are more cost effective and better in quality and service as compared to your H hotel in Bakewell. I was expecting a buffet breakfast in this H hotel but this too was not there. One evening we decided to have dinner in the H Hotel but we were advised that the chef was not available so we could not have dinner there so we went out for dinner. Waiter spilled the tea on the table while we were having breakfast on Wednesday 5th August she came to wipe the table after a few minutes only after we complained. NO CARPARKING ...Staff dressing can be improved to give professional outlook
Excellent location. Spotlessly clean and contemporary decor.
Can be noisy and no parking although parking nearby.
Lovely location great room
Feeding the car park meter but the hotel can't do anything about that
Everything. Staff were amazing and friendly, especially at reception/check in.

The location
Noisy
Great location, comfortable room.
No air conditioning during hot weather.
Great location & very very clean.
Great restaurant/bar & the room was amazing.
The location is convenient to shopping and a lovely park by River Wye.
The incompetence and indifferent attitude of the staff including the GM even before we checked in. We received an email from the hotel "Paying for Your Room - The full cost of your reservation, including any extras, is payable in full on arrival. Payment must be made at reception using the chip-and-pin machine. We do not accept manual payments prior to arrival...." We mentioned to Eva who sent us this email that Booking.com had already charged us 387 GPD for 2 nights. She responded "We never ask for payment prior to arrival. Please treat this as spam and report through your email provider." We were traveling and received such an agonizing message from someone who should be more proactive by contacting booking.com and resolving the matter rather than presumptuously providing an answer like this. We contacted her again and never heard from her. We resolved the matter with Booking.com instead. Her lack of clear communication and motivation in showing empathy trickled down to the attitude of the receptionists. When we checked in and requested a quiet room, Shona assigned us the Hadfield Room on the alley side by the CoOp. She assured us that it was a quiet room and if not, we could let front desk know to change room. The night was horrendous. Glass bottles breaking into the garbage containers, carts rolling on metal platforms and doors slamming of the lorries...We brought the matter to the receptionist (who claimed to work there the longest) and she refused to change the room by excusing that the hotel was full and the housekeeper could not clean the room if changed. There was someone checking out before us. She said that Shona was too lazy to switch the room on that day of check in. And she should have. The price we paid didn't match the lowest standard of any hospitality establishments.
Perfect position in town. Beautifully clean with everything we could have wanted
Nothing it was great
