Clean and comfortable
Location. Breakfast. Room
It was just a stop on the way to Sequoia Park. Free parking. Nice Chinese food near the hotel. A huge plus was the hotel's laundry service, which allowed us to do our laundry during our short stay. Typical American breakfast, meaning pretty average quality. It was okay to grab something quickly, but nothing special.
The air conditioning and the refrigerator in the room were both extremely loud, which made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the carpets in the hotel corridors were very dirty and poorly maintained. Strange smell in the hotel.
I liked the spacious room, hot tub was at great temperature and the pool was like warm.
The cleanliness was the issue. There was feces near the door handle on the inside of the restroom door in our room. The feces was dry like it had been there a while. We immediately notified the front desk. They gave us a different room. After switching rooms, the A/C went out the first night had to tell the front desk to fix it. The living room tv wasn’t working either, we had to tell the front desk to fix it. The main issue was the feces near the bathroom door handle. That left my wife and I little traumatized, we started checking everything to make sure it was clean. The cleaning staff definitely needs to pick up their cleaning skills.

Unfortunately, our experience at the Sonesta was extremely disappointing. The room was absolutely filthy and did not appear to have been properly cleaned or inspected before we checked in.
There was hair left in the shower, visible stains on the bed sheets and pillowcases, and when we opened the pull-out sofa bed, the mattress was stained as well. Seeing stains on multiple sleeping surfaces was especially disturbing and made us question whether the bedding had even been changed between guests.
After traveling, you expect to be able to check into your room, shower, and get comfortable—not inspect the bathroom and bedding to determine whether they’re clean enough to use. These weren’t minor cosmetic issues; they were basic cleanliness and sanitation concerns.
For the amount guests pay to stay at a hotel, a clean room and clean bedding should be the bare minimum. Housekeeping and management seriously need to improve their room inspection process. No guest should be given a room in this condition.
I would not recommend this property based on the condition of the room we received.

Homeless had to park on back wall was not comfortable with truck there had you park in front and walk all the way around facility is very nice but homeless encampment adjacent to property is a little unsettling
