Clean and convenient
I stay here before and loved it so returned. Clean comfortable and lovely staff.
What let it down was the cliental at a wedding, one man smoking out the front was drunk, rude and unruly, was like my big fat gypsy wedding, with some of the guests including him. Not Novotels fault but people shouldn't be rude to other guests and mock them when my dog is having a pee.
De kamer en de locatie. Ook niet ontbijt was ruimen voldoende aanbod
De airco bloed niet aan ondanks dat het niet op timer stond buiten was het boven de 30 gr. Hierdoor was het ook in onze kamer op 3e verdieping erg warm

The Wi-Fi is very poor in the room, and there is water leaking from under the sink.
Good size clean family room, we still had room to put up our travel cot. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for our midway point on the way to scotland. Breakfast was delicious with a huge selection, the restaurant, rooms and hallways were spotless. They are pet friendly which was great. I honestly thought what I paid with breakfast, the hotel would be more like a t lodge but it was far from that, the beds were comfortable and clean. Service was brilliant. It exceeded all of our expectations of a roadside hotel
Need to have a clear dog on lead policy after my old girl was attacked by an off lead dog though this is not really a reflection on the hotel its self but having clear policies would ensure the safety of the staff, guests and other pets staying.
There was a lift out of service which made waiting to get to our 3rd floor room a little slow.
Staff were welcoming and hard working. Evening meal was great, and staff attentive in restaurant. large car park, local area was ideal for shops. Hotel was clean, room was adequate for our needs.
No fridge in the rooms, only 1 tea bag or coffee sachet each in rooms. Usually have at least 2 of each & milk .
The only upside was that the staff were pleasant to interact with.
I will never stay at a Novotel again, and I would strongly advise friends and family to avoid this hotel.
We stayed in an Executive Queen room, and despite being rated 4 stars, our experience was brutal. We visited during a heatwave, and the air conditioning in our first room did not work at all. On top of that, there was a lingering smell of cigarettes.
After complaining, we were moved to a second room - which was completely inconvenient as we were in Newcastle for a lunchtime wedding and had very little time to repack and move on the event day itself. To our disbelief, the air conditioning in the second room was also completely broken. We lost all confidence in the hotel after this.
The layout of the rooms makes no sense: the toilet and bathroom are completely separate rooms with no sink in the toilet room itself. This means you have to exit the toilet with dirty hands, walk across the main room, and enter the bathroom just to wash your hands. I was told this is the setup in all rooms across the hotel. To make matters worse, the toilet flush did not work properly in either room we stayed in.
Hygiene and maintenance were terrible. The silicone and caulking in the rooms were rotten and mouldy. The floors were visibly dirty in both rooms, and it was clear they do not vacuum under or around the beds.
A completely unacceptable standard for a supposed 4-star hotel.
