Excellent stay near Newcastle airport
Pros:

We stayed here for 2 nights, once before our flight from Newcastle airport and again on our return to the UK to rest before a long drive home after a late flight. We were greeted warmly on both occasions. We had dinner on the night of our arrival and it was very tasty and reasonable. The main reception/bar area has a nice pre holiday vibe to it. The rooms were very comfortable for our stay with 2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 12. Rooms were exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfortable and it was a peaceful area which made it easy to sleep. We drove to/from the airport in around 5 minutes.

Cons:

Nothing. All perfect.

Inconvienent and needlessly stressful.
Pros:

Comfy beds and good breakfast. The breakfast staff were lovely and efficient.

Cons:

Checked in with a baby late at night, wasn’t told to register my car in the car park, so now need to do admin to have the incoming fine cancelled. Our keycards didn’t work when we got to the room. Lifts were out of service so we had to use a service elevator, this was located through many grubby and cluttered corridors - not a good first impression, especially with lots of luggage and a pram. Room smelled faintly of cigerette smoke, not good with a baby, not sure why this wasn’t noticed and flagged before we stayed.

Good for a short stay, but it did not quite meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel
Pros:

Free and convenient parking.
Welcoming lobby area, especially for families, with a pool table and a play corner for young children.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Room/bathroom were clean

Cons:

- The elevator situation needs improvement. One elevator was out of service, while the other was unreliable, occasionally failing to open its doors and operating quite jerkily.
- In our room, the toilet flush was insufficient, often requiring two flushes and a wait for the tank to refill.
- Water pressure in the shower in our room was very low.
- The ventilation system in our room was noticeably loud and could not be turned off.
- Breakfast was good overall, but the coffee quality left room for improvement.

Qualité Novotel sans surprise. Deux bonnes nuits.

Cons:

Un petit déjeuner dont nous n'avons pas pu profiter, il commencent à 7h30 le samedi. Pas de possibilité d’early breakfast .

No first aid kit or first aider available when one of our party fell and needed an ambulance. Staff did their best in a difficult situation
