Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sioux Falls

This was our third stay at this Radisson downtown facility. Meaning that traveling through this part of South Dakota we purposely decide to keep coming back!
The short drive from the freeway and the ease of getting to this exceptionally beautiful riverfront facility draw us back each time! It's a must visit stop!!

Originally, we weren't sure about a downtown stay?
However, from the freeway this facility is very easy to find! And the riverfront location and beauty was a nice unexpected bonus for an evening or early morning walk!

Overall it was a nice stay. We had issues with room odor and were disappointed by the pool being closed, but the front desk tried to be accommodating to any concerns. We never reported noise complaints but downtown Sioux Falls is quite noisy at night on a weekend. Cara zooming by with loud music, people yelling or fighting. We know that’s out of their control, but wish it was a little more soundproof inside.

Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. We had issues with an odorous room initially but the front desk assisted with a solution. The bathtub drain was broken so we could only shower. I think tubs could be updated! Breakfast was as to be expected, simple, powdered eggs, continental type options.

Parking lot is quite small, but the adjacent shopping center parking lot is nearby and they give you a slip to put on your dash to use the parking.

Staff were friend, kind and accommodating. Even went as far as to print info off for nearby free water attractions as our kids were so disappointed about the drained pool.

Overall not a bad stay, I do feel the price was steep for the amenities - but staff were fantastic. One of the kitchen staff even allowed us to get some food a little before breakfast opened as we had to leave for an event early.

Direkt am Riverwalk und fast an den Wasserfällen gelegen. Grosse und saubere Zimmer, sehr gutes Frühstück. Der Empfang war freundlich und professionell. Wir hatten erst bedenken wegen der Sicherheit, da quasi „um die Ecke“ weniger angenehme Eindrücke wahrzunehmen sind (Zelte auf der Strasse, nicht vertrauenswürdige Menschen, um es freundlich auszudrücken). Aber es war alles in Ordnung.

Room was fine - met our needs

We stayed for one night only as we made our way west. The room was competitively priced; our expectations were modest as a result, but were met and exceeded. The room was clean and comfortable. There are some nice restaurants in the area, and some pleasant walks around the actual falls close by. There is hotel swimming pool which is small and very shallow at one end; but after a long drive it was a pleasant surprise, and it was lovely to be able to stretch cramped muscles.

The location was good for our event. All venues were reached within a few minutes. Staff was helpful for the most part. When we ran out of facial tissue the front desk staff found a replacement right away. The breakfast was adequate. The standard waffle machines, etc.
