Clean and friendly for the most part
When I was getting breakfast for the kid the cleaning and serving staff at like it was a problem. I gas 2 rooms so it was a fair amount of kids. The pool has way too much chlorine in it. Everyone was complaining of burning eyes. The next morning it was better.
Le matelas du divan lit pas confortable .
The staff was exceptional especially Alan at the check-in kiosk!! He arranged for a room upgrade and a complimentary 50th wedding anniversary gift of a bottle of wine and 6 chocolate covered strawberries to be placed in our room. The breakfast service was superb! Kudos to the entire Embassy suites Old Town Alexandria VA for making our 50th anniversary “the best anniversary ever!!”
That we we had to leave😎😎
I booked with booking.com and was charged almost $200 for fees not included with booking.com
I really liked the living room space with the mini bar. Most hotels do not have microwaves or a fridge, but I was appreciative of that. In addition, the evening reception was great. Bartender, Kia was excellent.
The only issue I had was there were several teenagers (15-20) running up and down the hallway unsupervised at times making noise. From my understanding they were from out of town on a class trip.

Proximity to Metro Line
Nothing
The room was clean and spacious. The Breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel in a long time. Nice to have the parking garage.
Nothing
Comfortable cleaning and food was great
And the drinks
Shower pressure in my room was low
The made to order inlets were wonderful. Hotel is in excellent location with the local free trolley right across the street. Really comfy bed!!
Parking garage has so many signs it’s a little confusing. But garage is convenient
Typical Embassy Suites, Large room, very clean. I had some issues with booking and the management was helpful sorting everything out. I would stay here again. The breakfast was above average, made to order eggs and pancakes were very good.
Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not the Embassy Suites Experience I Expect
I am a loyal Embassy Suites guest, but my stay at the Embassy Suites Alexandria, VA was incredibly frustrating from start to finish.
First, the front desk receptionist made me feel like I was a nuisance simply for asking basic questions. Customer service should not feel like an inconvenience to the staff.
We called down six times for basic housekeeping needs, including extra pillows. Messages were left repeatedly, and nothing was ever delivered. Completely unacceptable.
The biggest issue: no hot water. Maintenance eventually came to the room, and instead of fixing the issue, I was told the hotel “uses a lot of water” and that I should try showering at a different time. Excuse me? I paid for a hotel stay with hot water—being told to schedule my shower around hotel usage is absurd.
The pool experience was also unpleasant. The so-called “lifeguard” made the environment feel overly restrictive to the point where kids could barely enjoy themselves. It felt more like a detention hall than a family-friendly hotel.
Between the lack of hot water, ignored requests, poor customer service, and overall dismissive attitude from staff, this stay was nowhere near the standard Embassy Suites usually delivers. I would not recommend this location and will think twice before returning.
