Overall my experience was positive.
Pros:

The location is very good for shopping, dining and seeing the harbour. The area is very hilly and walking can be good exercise. There are many historical sites in the area.

Cons:

Everything was fine and I have no issues to complain about.

Doubletree by Hilton St. John's
Pros:

Location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, interesting sitting area, nice toiletries provided. We were on the 5th floor and had both a harbour and city view.

Cons:

Our room was not ready at check-in (check-in is at 3, we checked in at 4:15). We were provided with complimentary drinks and cookies at the bar while we waited. For the price, parking fees should be included.

Decent but not great.
Pros:

Beautiful location and friendly staff.

Cons:

Poor lighting in the room, shower was awkward and had water all over the bathroom, bottled water was $3.00 , room was a little small for price, air conditioner didn’t work well.
