TV in the room we booked did not work therefore moved rooms to a lower standard room. Was told 10% would be deducted from bill. We asked if this would be 10% off original room or lower grade room - no one knew. When we booked out they still did not know and said they would hav to wait until a manager came in and would let us know?
As above. When paying these rates I would expect a poor TV service. Travel lodge seem to have their TVs working?
Location, friendly and helpful reception and restaurant staff, great bathroom!
Room was much too hot - fortunately it had an opening window
Beautiful venue, ideally located a short walk from the venue. Bedrooms are gorgeous and so cosy. Lovely details.
Gorgeous property
The bathroom was freezing. Couldn’t get the floor heating to switch on
Location, beautiful hotel and rooms, clean, comfortable bed.
Nothing.
Walk in shower and service for my 86 year old Mum was generally very good
breakfast was quite slow and not cheap
Great location - very central and nice to be beside Parkers Piece
Lack of quiet seating - Wedding reception on Saturday and guests took over the lounge and bar area. Not fun for regular hotel guests.
The whole atmosphere! All the staff were kind and extremely professional. The concierge, Toby, was phenomenally helpful and kind especially to my elderly mother who loved every minute of her birthday stay away
The Staff, atmosphere, location were excellent.
The hot buffet was lovely and the range of breads excellent. Also the melon bowls and yogurt pots were good
The cold meat and cheese buffet at breakfast, felt it needed to be sitting on a cooler.
The location
The room is old fashioned and didn't reflect the standard I expected for a "superior' room and the price.
Great location and brilliant service from the staff.
Breakfast was average. Limited options in my opinion.
Brilliant location, really comfortable bed, and a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the park. Everything we were looking for on a weekend away in Cambridge!
The staff were great on reception and the concierge, Charles, was a particular star.
Small things. The TV reception comes via the internet and was prone to slowing and buffering. The shower water took a while to get hot, then went cold, then hot again.
Convenience - it’s closed to the town centre
Very small room with a small window above head height. Breakfast service could be a bit smoother
Great location. Lovely bar and restaurant. Very helpful welcoming staff.
Disappointed the bar was closed when we returned to the hotel after a college dinner, I thought hotel bars stayed open for guests.
Possibly the hotel requires more than 2 lifts. It was quite busy at times.
A few niggles with room. A light bulb on bedside table not working, it was sorted but you would think housekeeping would check lights as part of the cleaning process.
Also the curtains were not hanging properly and couldn’t be completely closed. There were a number of curtain hooks missing, they were drooping and looked quite old and tired. Not a major issue but a niggle all the same.
