Variety of choices for breakfast. Excellent sausages. Pleasant building near the Cathedral and cafes and restaurants
Room had low ceilings in places. Shower in the bath rather than separate.
Perfect location
Lovely staff.

Great location and very friendly hotel. However, the air con /heating was very noisy. The room was extremely cold, even with the heating on (not helped by thin summer duvet in March). Standard rooms were very small and the windows don't open. I did complain about the temperature and was "let off" the £10 parking charge. Didn't stay for breakfast as it's a flat rate of £18 which is a little steep if you only want coffee and a pastry! Overall a very friendly hotel in a good location However a little tired and overpriced.
Air con/heating. Slow bar service. Cold!
Location and view
Initially got a terrible room with no windows
Breakfast was good, everything was there plenty to eat,and location very good. Nothing
Nothing.
Location is good, easily walkable to centre and castle and right next to the cathedral. Warm welcome from reception staff, room (they upgraded us) was spotless, large and with a good bathroom. Breakfast selection was wide with fruit, cereals, alternative milks, breads and pastries and hot food items on a buffet. Dishes made to order are brought to your table. Public areas around the hotel are all pleasant with lots of different levels. It's a great hotel if you love quirky places.
Room was up a spiral staircase - ok for us, but anyone with any movement restrictions would have struggled. (We could see that some rooms are accessible with a lift). Unfortunately our room, which was under the eaves, was cold. They'd put a couple of portable radiators in, but they weren't enough to cope with the icy wind which came through the old windows. The television reception was very bad; you couldn't watch live tv without constant buffering and signal loss, so we gave up. Lighting in the room was quite dim. The coffee at breakfast wasn't good! You can have a cafetiere or use the machine, but we found both were quite tasteless.
Great location, friendly staff and good facilities
No lift!
The city centre location is excellent. Convenient parking next to the hotel. The old world charm of the hotel's interoir.
Everything was good.
We liked the location.
The room was quite small and in need of updating. I felt it was expensive for what we got.
When i arrived i was offered a room upgrade which was amazing.
Room next to a noisy road with old windows - lots of road noise. Tiled bathroom floor with no underfloor heating -unpleasant to walk on in the morning.
Exceptional location. Perfect for visiting the main tourist areas. Very good breakfast.
The hotel offered a free tour of the city in a Bentley and this was a lovely add on. The driver, Nick, was a lovely man; informative and very pleasant.
Whilst we had been 'upgraded' the room backed onto a very noisy student bar so for both nights we were unable to settle until 2am. We were offered a payment off the bill without any hesitation. The noisy room is clearly known. In addition the room had only plug in heating whilst the hallways radiator pumped out the heat. No plugs near the bed and poor bed side lighting. The staff were pleasant.
Location was amazing, all staff were very friendly but a big shout out to Nick who drove us on the Bentley. Dinner, breakfast and bar snacks were all excellent, we couldn't fault anything
One small thing, the round tables for two in the dining room were very cramped particularly at breakfast
Locatie, authentiek hotel, vriendelijk personeel
Matige verwarming
