No response received. Tried to give 48 hours notice of cancellation (within 24 hrs of purchase) and yet have been charged for the full amount of 3 nights with breakfast. Paid for taxes and breakfasts that I did not even have and refused to give any refunds, saying that it is all non-refundable. Use taxes should also be applicable to hotels, not just airlines.

Not quite sure of what I liked about the property. Maybe the location and safety was unique.
I did not like the fact that first of all every staff seem to have the impression that every visitor should be French speaking. Also, my room was booked for two, however things such as glasses and tea cups and bathroom robe amongst other things were provided for one person only. No wine glasses in the room. The fridge was locked and I had to chase after every thing before it could be provided thus frustrating me each day. To make matters worst the central lighting of the room was not working.
I am a frequent travel to which I have stayed in many hotels across Africa with few stars but far better than this one.
So much for Hilton. I was so disappointed with all these in a 5 star hotel.

Le pire hotel depuis 30 ans de voyages professionnels. Une direction absente ou qui se cache. Wifi inexistant. Pas d'eau chaude le soir. Pas de mini bar dans un hotel qui se veut 5 etoiles.
Des prix plus élévés qu'à Londres sans aucune valeur ajoutée. On mange mieux dans la rue qu'au Hilton Yaoundé.
Price for rooms is extremely high (240€/night), breakfast is excluded, weak internet, shuttle bus to the airport costs 75€, hotelrooms are from the 80-ties. As the Hilton is the only (officially) 5 star hotel in town, they can charge what they want and are abusing their position.
What I liked the least were the eating options in the hotel. Costs were absolutely exhorbitant, and it was not easy to go out and eat elsewhere. The hotel itself is quite a bit run down, even the elevators have condensation dropping from the ceiling. A Hilton should do better.
Had a great stay! As nice as high-end US hotel. REALLY great dining... especially liked the outdoor restaurant. Great health club (not a hotel gym, but a real health club... that is complementary)
as the N° 1 address in Yaounde rather OK as there is just no competition. Needs urgently renovation of (some? all? ) rooms which have the typical Hilton standard of 25 years ago. No all items of Room Service are available. To summarize, if you need to be in Yaound and can afford it, the Hilton is the best choice.
Front-office: excellent accueil, personnel très professionnel et à l'écoute. Vraiment au top!
Nettoyage de chambres/ ménage: service de très haute qualité. Femmes de chambre très professionnelles et attentionnées. Vraiment que du positif à retenir.
Lounge d'étage et petit déjeuner: Gros point noir. Personnel de ce segment pas du tout professionnel et méprisant. Les hôtesses prennent les gens de haut si vous n'êtes pas un politicien local, et donc pas ouvertes à une clientèle d'affaire internationale ou de loisir. A éviter pour la prochaine fois.
Conclusion: Séjour OK sauf côté restauration qui a été une piètre expérience. Les hôtesses gagneraient à s'inspirer d'hôtels concurrents de la ville de Yaoundé ou Douala.
All staff were great and provided excellent service!
Check in took a long time. The lady was polite about the delay;however, both during check in and check out the reception tried to get me to pay again despite having already paid. The room was spacious and quiet, but dark at night. The pillows were too soft/flat. You can’t drink the water yet you only get two small water bottles, then you have to pay 2,500 XAF per small bottle. Carpet looked worn down. We went to the rooftop our first night and not a single waitress or other member of staff gave us a menu until 20 or so minutes of being there and then same problem trying to order so we left. The lady by the elevator then asked why we were leaving and when I explained she put her hands to her cheeks and said “O La La”…
Breakfast was nice and so was the service in the restaurant. Internet was so bad that we stopped trying and bought data packages.
Amazing as usual! Cette fois je suis venue pour un évènement moins heureux (rapatriement du corps de ma mère décédée) le personnel toujours au top! Carole à la réception reste la crème de la crème : très gentille et avenante, elle a constaté que mon profil Hilton Honors n'avait pas ete activé et y a remédié dès mon arrivée. Merci également a Cliff qui a su répondre à mes questions. L'équipe du petit-déjeuner toujours au top. Rahab toujours tres souriante et avenante, Ibrahim egalement. Sans oublier votre meilleur maitre nageur: Luc.

Séjour de 4 jours. Excellent accueil et confort. Je recommande la participation à l’aqua-gym avec Georges et d’aller jouer au tennis avec Michel-Florent dont le style inspiré de RF saura rehausser votre niveau de jeu. Ne manquez pas les haricots-beignets et bouillie du petit déjeuner !

Vi tilbrakte et døgn på Hilton Yaounde. Vennlig betjening. God, men dyr mat. Fine rom, men noen "issues" med vask og klosett. Alt i alt en fin opplevelse, med svømming i basseng, massasje og fin temperatur på takterrassen. Sen check out var også svært kjærkomment.
The Hilton Hotel in Yaounde falls short in several aspects. Their expensive transfer service lacks transparency, and inquiries go unanswered. Reception staff are cold, lacking in warmth and enthusiasm. The rooms feel outdated, with carpets exacerbating mosquito issues. Breakfast service is marred by rude management and unsmiling waitstaff, who appear bothered by requests and disorganized. Additionally, overheard negative remarks from staff contribute to an unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, this hotel's ranking seems inflated due to lack of competition. Rating: 4.5/10.
