Great bed, but maybe too expensive for only a great bed and private bathroom.
Pros:

The cleaning of the room everyday and restocking of towels and toiletries. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

The wifi didn’t work well and the curtains were broken so you could not look out the window.

Definitely returning!
Pros:

The hotel staff was amazing, especially Gerald, the housekeepers, and the front desk staff. It was centrally located and super easy to get around. The kitchenette was very helpful to have as well.

Exceptional Value
Pros:

Great value. Price to service was 100% better than at Marriott. We traveled to Washington DC twice in one month. The first time we stayed at Marriott. The second time we stayed at State Plaza. While the hotel is a bit dated - I loved everything about it. Service was beyond exceptional. The next time we go to Washington DC - we are staying at State Plaza again.

Awesome stay at the State Plaza
Pros:

We stayed 6 nights at the State Plaza hotel based on reviews. The reviews were right, we had an excellent stay. The hotel is older but very nice . The room we had was huge with a kitchen,deluxe king?. The room is a little dated but extremely clean. The air conditioning worked very well and kept the room very cool. The bathroom floor is white and the floor was spotless. Housekeeping comes in every day and services the room, also leaves 2 bottles of water which was a nice perk. It is in a good location and we felt safe wherever we walked. The foggy bottom metro station is about a 15 minute walk. There is also a whole foods near there which is convenient for getting supplies. The Lincoln memorial is about a 10 minute walk. We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again when we go back to DC.
