Dream Inn Santa Cruz

Enjoyed our stay, the hotel is very retro but modernized with some great detail. I would stay here in a heartbeat again. Location and views were amazing!

A very cute hotel and great proximity to the beach. We were disappointed that our room was not cleaned during our stay, but overall this is a nice hotel for families. Nothing very special, but definitely family oriented.

Everything, no complaints. Valet attendants were very nice and helpful. Front desk was very efficient. Great food in the restaurant too.

We hosted a team offsite at Dream Inn and The Cove conference room was perfect for our needs. Everyone was super helpful and attentive, and both the location and view were perfect. We will definitely be returning and recommending the Dream Inn to others !

I booked a trip with my toddler daughter as a special getaway based on the heated pool, kids ice cream happy hour and poolside dining, all things I thought she would love. When I arrived, the staff were very nice and accommodating, allowing us to check in early so she could take a nap, which was appreciated. Overall, the staff were friendly and helpful. My feedback is around the activities/services I was expecting. There was no poolside dining both days I went, no kids ice cream happy hour, happy hour and the pool was way too cold to actually swim in, though it says it's heated. I was extremely disappointed because they advertised all these things on the website, at the hotel itself and most of them were not available/satisfactory. When I asked one staff member, they said there would be poolside dining. Another said it might be a staffing problem. When I gave the feedback while checking out, they said it was seasonal but that isn't made clear on the website or any of the brochures. I would have appreciated a heads up if these services weren't going to be available during my stay - I would not have made the trip with my daughter had I known. I can see how this place would be great when all the amenities/services are available. Unfortunately I felt like they were misleading and we ended up having a pretty poor customer experience, especially when I got different answers from various staff. Check with the hotel before going during the winter on a weekday if it's something you are looking forward to, especially with a kid!

Beautiful property and amazing location!!! Will stay here again when we visit Santa Cruz. The staff was outstanding and extremely helpful.

Very cool vibe

5 star experience Hands Down! Come for the ambience and service and the view and the food and the atmosphere. You can't beat this location and history of this property. I see new buildings going up around the beach but you can't beat this nostalgic property. It is a classic that is clean and very well kept up.

This is such a special place. You cannot beat the location, steps from the Boardwalk, beach and wharf. The remodel was done so well. I took my team for the weekend and we for sure will be back they get 10 stars! We used the conference rooms, and it could not have been nicer. the food was good and service was amazing. Brianna that handles the business meetings was so easy to deal with, they were super flexible.

Location is hands-down best on the Santa Cruz beach. Walking proximity to the wharf, beach and boardwalk are key. Dream Inn pool and spa feature a great bar, but only runs when the weather is nice, otherwise it’s room service down at the pool for drinks/food. Staff is always great. The rooms can use some updating though, especially with how much $ is paid nightly. We love this place though, cant beat the ocean views from each room, and sound of the waves :)

Lovely location, room was so lovely compared to staying in a 5 star hotel where you pay a lot more for not a great room or comfort. The views were amazing.

The view from our room was great, The room was spacious, comfortable bed and we were surprised with sand art for our anniversary. Jack O'Neills food and service was great. Great ambiance.

Love the Dream Inn. You cannot beat the location right on the beach. Lots of places in Santa Cruz claim they are on the beach but this is the only one that really is. You can take the elevator to the sand. Lovely pool, spa area, lots of towels. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great bed. Listen to the waves all night. We enjoyed our night immensely.
