This Hampton Inn is by far the worst Hilton branded hotel I've ever stayed in. I travel for work 50+ nights a year and I've stayed at many Hampton Inns. This location was of the quality of a bad motel 6. Mold and peeling paint in the bathroom. Floor of the bathroom was as sticky as a movie theater. bath mat was wet when I checked in. Wallpaper peeling throughout the hotel. Fitness center was a disaster. Hand sanitizer wipes were empty, water cooler was empty, wallpaper peeling and stained, AC broken etc... One of the 2 elevators was broken. The list goes on. This should never bear the Hilton name. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.
We were at this hotel last weekend for a volleyball tournament. Such a horrible experience our final night there. Power went out in the middle of the night and never came back on. The room was absolutely freezing with the single degree wind chills outside. Had to get all of our luggage packed that morning with the light on a cell phone, no hot water, so no showers, no hair dryers, no tv, no breakfast, half of the emergency lights were out in the halls and stairwells, had to make multiple trips down multiple flights of stairs with the luggage and no light. The front doors wouldn’t work, so we had to exit a side door being propped open with a rock, and no official checkout or paperwork was ever sent. Despite still being charged full price, no one from management has returned multiple phone calls or online messages about the stay! Customer service at its worst!!
Where to start.
First, this hotel is actually in a decent area in Atlanta, but the building itself inside is very ran down. Issued with power outlets and bedside lamps that would not work as well as a bed that was practically dry-rotting and broke. In addition the elevator is about on its last leg and smells of burning electricity. During our stay the first night, we had to be moved rooms as the bed broke while laying down to go to sleep. The second night, the power goes out and remains out all the way through check out time. Mind you, temperatures were freezing and the room was very cold and we were unable to rest all night. When departing the next morning, we had to use the flashlights on our phones to try to pack our things and get ready as our daughter was competing in a large volleyball tournament that morning. When we left it was still dark, so the hallways were completely black and we had to obviously utilize the stairs to load up our things given no power means no elevator. That evening once power was restored, we reached out to the hotel regarding our stay and we were informed it was a power outage with the electric company and the regional manager was working on discounting stays and to expect an updated receipt via email by the next day reflecting the discounted rate. The next day after never receiving an updated receipt, I reached out and was informed by a representative that the manager was not offering any discount for the stays as it was not their fault they lost power but it was the electric company's fault. I then asked to speak to the manager and was advised James was out to lunch. I left my name and number and got no call back. I attempted to call again that evening and no one even bothered to answer the hotel phone. I then reached out to Hilton and was advised a manager would reach out within 3 days. 3 Days have passed and no contact from anyone regarding our stay only an email stating I can expect Hilton points added to my account, but no mention or follow up on the stay what so ever. I am disappointed to say the least as I am a frequent Hilton traveler and rewards member and expected more from this well known brand. Last I checked I did not rent and issue payment to the electric company in expectation of a service that the Hampton Inn did not provide. I will make sure to utilize Marriott going forward. They would hold their managers to a higher standard and have a much cleaner place to stay at that.
Terrible Hotel. The room was trashy with stained carpet, broken furniture, peeling wallpaper and the room smelled of strong bleach so bad, it burned the eyes and throat. Even the lobby, hallway and elevator were trashed. Hotel is in desperate need of repair and updating. We had to leave!!! Not up to Hilton standards.
This was the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. The room was dark. One of the lamps didn’t work. The hot water in the bathroom had to run at least 10 minutes before it got hot. The washing machine was broken on the 4th floor. There is only one elevator working which is a safety issue.
My room was not updated. There were marks on the walls and floors. The molding on the walls were coming apart from the wall. Underneath the bathroom floor has not seen a mop in ages.
The breakfast buffet was
Seriously lacking. I ran into another guest who told me that one of the stove had been broken for a week. Breakfast did not start at 6 am ever.
Monday morning, there were rotten bananas and no other fruit. No oatmeal. I made a waffle there was no butter. I peeked around into the kitchen and the breakfast attendant was sitting there playing with her hair. I asked for butter she said there is none.
I asked why, she mumbled something. She got up and found a stick of butter opened it, put it in a cup and tried to hand it to me. She had no gloves and didn’t wash her hands. I didn’t take the butter and asked why she was handling food without gloves and washing her hands she rolled her eyes at me.
I used points on this stay and I really feel like I wasted my points and should have stayed elsewhere. Hilton has yet to respond to my review of room 427.
Great!
Very clean
Came for the weekend to Atlanta for a Braves game and Falcons game. Stayed overnight. This hotel was in a good location for us to get to both events.
Nice staff and awesome breakfast
There was trash, a used bar of soap, and 3 room keys left in the room when I arrived. I threw the trash and soap into the trash can and I took the key cards to the front desk. I told the guest services representative that the room was not clean and I gave her the keys that were left in the room by the last guest. I then returned to the room and cleaned it so I could stay in it. When I returned from work the following day, I learned that the representative had checked me out of the room and housekeeping went in only to discover my belongings were still there. In that process my room key was deactivated and I could not reenter the room. I went to the desk and the lady explained what had happened and she made me another room key. The second key would now work. Her master key would not work. I was then left sitting in the lobby over an hour waiting for someone to come break into the room so I can get my things. After an hour and 15 minutes I asked to be moved to another room to wait. I found it humiliating to sit in the lobby with my work gear and all the guests checking in were looking at me like I was a weirdo. The lady gave me keys to a smaller room and I sat in there until the door was opened to my room. The maintenance man told me the lock couldn’t be repaired right away, if I chose to stay in the room, if I left out I would be locked out again. I took my things and moved them across the hall to the smaller room. I spoke with the lady and asked her to have the manager call me. To make it worse, I got the bill at checkout and a price increase was added for the smaller room that I moved to. Again I asked to speak with a manager. Well, 3 days later, the manager has not called, no one apologized, no discount was offered. This is a real trash heap establishment. After no contact with leadership, all of the water damage and leaking pipes made total sense. Very poor management in place. Close this location down.
Good value for the money. Nice breakfast
Quiet and comfortable bed.
I always choose Hampton for their cleanliness and awesome beds. This place was an $8 UBER ride to the Braves stadium which is why we were there. Perfect location
Staff was friendly and room very clean
Receptionist was sweet and breakfast was yummy !
I've usually stayed at this Hotel anytime I've gone to the Atlanta area. It is a good Hotel, close to the Battery and Truist Park, and close to a shopping mall with restaurants! Nice Hotel with comfortable bed!
The hotel property was very nice, with the exception of a few miscellaneous this as far as the interior of the property like paint, elevators, broken smoke dectors, and my room was cleaned (Not sure I had to request that)
The room was exactly as pictured. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a cold and hot variety. The only complaint was the A/C unit stopped blowing cold air during the night. Other than that it was a great stay for the Breezy Bowl Concert!
There was a weird smell from the carpet like it was wet - more so needing updates, only one working elevator so with it being a busy weekend it made for longer than normal wait times, the glass shower door would not stay shut. I’m not sure if the shower wasn’t leveled but that could cause water damage in the future. The room was clean however and I would stay again.
The main level had the smell of mold. There was water in the carpets, and they had blowers on the carpet throughout the weekend I was there. The washers/dryers did not work, and the front desk did not know when a repair team was coming to repair them. The elevator had a hard slam to close. I had a leak in the pipes of the sink in my room, and the sliding doors to my shower would not close bring more water onto the floor. This was my first time, and my last time.
