Pros:

Room was clean, warm and bed and pillows comfortable.
Bathroom spotless and shower superb. Tea and coffee facilities great.
Good to have an iron and ironing board.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly (I'm sure the housekeeping are too but I never saw them 😀)

Cons:

As with all hotel rooms NEVER enough milk !!
The TV wasn't freeview loaded nor was it a Smart TV. Consequently limited info on it - i.e. there was no station guide so no idea what was on. Wasn't able to cast anything from my tablet as not a smart TV. Biggest bug bear for me though was no radio channel on TV. Poor for a hotel of this standard and rating.
Having to scan a QR code to get hotel info was a pain. There was a booklet in the room providing interesting history of the hotel building and a sheet of paper giving room service menu - so how hard would it be to provide written information about meal times, check out times etc?

Great location, poor food.

Lovely location and rooms are nice, albeit on the smaller side.

Cons:

Food wasn't great, dry chicken, very chewy. Reception staff were great but female manager was stuck up and rude.

Excellent hotel, brilliant staff, lovely food, great facilities
Pros:

Breakfast was very enjoyable, very good quality and lots of choice
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the UK. Staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble.

Cons:

The only thing I found was the bed could have been a bit higher, as I am disabled lower beds make it more difficult for me to get up. This is my only niggle, everything else was excellent.

Setting, style (architecturally) & courteous staff make for memorable stay
Pros:

Welcoming & courteous staff (initially) at reception & thereafter throughout the hotel. Charming view & ambience surrounding our dinner (outside - on the terrace) ....& excellent tasting champagne (by the glass). Our meal was creative, seasonally suited & very enjoyable.

Cons:

My request for a previous room we had stayed in was not forthcoming - nor explained why.
