A Sub-par Stay
Pros:

My stay at the Novotel Hotel in Bristol was somewhat disappointing overall. While much of the hotel was clean and well-kept, there was mould present in the bathroom air filter, which is not something I would expect at this standard. To their credit, the staff addressed the issue promptly when it was reported, but it was still an unacceptable oversight.

I also found the lack of proper air conditioning or heating to be a drawback, as the room became quite stuffy and difficult to keep cool. A fan was provided, which helped somewhat, but it didn’t fully resolve the issue.

On a more positive note, the hotel is very conveniently located, with easy access to both the bus and train stations as well as the city centre. Aside from the issues mentioned, the rest of the hotel was clean. However, these concerns did impact the overall comfort of my stay.

A quality hotel in a good location.
Pros:

This was a repeat visit for us, mainly due to location but we had no issues on previous visit so it made sense. It was just a quick overnight stay so we never experienced much that the hotel had to offer. The room was a nice size, clean and tidy. On site car parking was a very useful facility for us. Would happily stay again in future.

Cons:

On arrival, we could not access our rooms via the card-type key. Reception re-set them but still did not work but eventually a staff member brought us new cards. A minor problem and otherwise very happy with the stay.

Excellent location for travel with all you need.
Pros:

Location is excellent. Close walk to Bristol Temple Meads train station, and easy to catch bus to airport from there as well. 5 minute walk to main tourist area with excellent restaurant options. Room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Cons:

Room could be more interesting...colours, paintings...rather bland.

Cons:

There was no hot water for a shower. For a one night stop this was a big issue. We just wanted a bed and a warm shower, to pay almost £200 for a night and not be able to have a warm shower is wat below expectations.
