Breakfast was excellent more than I expected and the staff was sooo nice happy hour was great friendly staff and food was great
Elevator was a little slow
My family had several suites while we were in Baton Rouge for a wedding. The front desk staff and the buffet staff were excellent. Housekeeping had a few lapses but was fairly good. The breakfast buffet was good with made to order omelettes. The pastries were packaged and not tasty. The hotel is undergoing renovations so the elevators were messy with loose railings. Some of the rooms still need renovating.
The foyer is lovely.
This was not my first stay. The first stay was fine so I recommended to my family, their stay was fine. This one was terrible. It appeared to be overbooked and understaffed. There appeared to be a couple birthday parties happening so non-guests were dropping their kids off to go swimming (I witnessed this as I was checking in). Someone did eventually check wristbands at the pool but before then many kids already made there way in and was causing such a disturbance for my kids as many of them were not supervised. Kids were not supervised all day and night as they were running around and being loud. Our room wasn’t accommodated for the four people I booked for. It did not have the blanket and pillow for the pullout couch. I called and they said to call back later as they didn’t have any. I called later and they told me to come down and get it before someone else gets it. It should have already been in the room. Why am I fighting for a blanket at 10pm??? Those popcorn ceilings bits were literally falling throughout our stay. The mattress felt as though we were sleeping directly on the springs. We didn’t have the correct amount of towels, something else we had to go down and wait for. There were no towels in the pool area. We had to wait a long time before we could get three (not four). What’s the point of sending a textable number for feedback if you’re not going to actually fix the problems? I expressed my dissatisfaction and got a response simply saying “we’re fully booked”. Okay????
The location was great!! Even the staff at the bar and breakfast top tier.
The hotel was filthy. The rooms wreaked of mold, the lamps were rusted, walls cracking, carpet dirty, towels were out. We had to take down our used towels so that they could wash them and bring us more. Insane!! My granddaughter was bite by a spider, the hair dryer itself was disgusting, the iron had something stuck on it as well that ruined my daughter’s shirt. The cleanliness of the hotel just wasn’t up to par for an Embassy. I wouldn’t stay there again. We checked out Friday morning early bc it was just too much. I lost money bc we were so uncomfortable there. And the baby being bitten was the last straw.
Embassy Suites of Baton Rouge is awesome. I stay there two or three times a month, particularly I try and stay during the week days.... Now that it is Summer, weekends look like recess on steroids. That's okay with me. However, I would suggest that parents control numbers in their group and noise levels. It is a nice safe place for kids to have fun.
Breakfast and happy hour are awesome. They have a wonderful staff... professional and friendly for the most part. I would like to acknowledge Lyna at the front desk for always going above and beyond in assuring that I am more than comfortable.
The location is pretty sketchy and the photos for the room is very misleading. The sheets were clean but the shower had mold in the grout. One lady at the service desk was nice but the rest were kinda rude. You can stay at other places that are the same price but much better quality. Very uncomfortable atmosphere.
We stayed 3 nights. The property was very clean and everyone was nice especially the cleaning crew. Very comfortable stay. I enjoyed the bed. Didn't want to get out of it and I was able to get some wonderful rest. The room was nice and very spacious. Anything we requested the crew was very helpful and got us what we needed. I loved that the check out time was at 12 also.
I didn't like that there was only one ice machine and it was on the 5th floor. Once I got to the 5th floor there was no ice in it and it was very dark in that area. No light at all. Also the bathrooms need to be updated. The tub is very old, stained and had patches of paint missing from it. I think it should be upgraded to a walk in shower and remove the tub. I put a towel down in the tub when I took my shower because of the way it looked, but I guess it's from the years of wear and tear. Also the toilet sits very low. If those 2 things were updated then the room would have been perfect. The breakfast was okay. I stayed here years ago and the breakfast was sooo good. I was a little disappointed with it although they do serve hot breakfast and made to order omelets.
The only thing I liked about this property was the location and breakfast
We were given drink tokens and was invited to join in the evening celebration from 5;30to7pm. We got there at z6pm. All snacks were gone and no more were going to be put out. We wanted to order food from the restaurant but were told there was no food and the kitchen was closed. Do we did without any food until breakfast the next morning
Nada
Estaba en remodelacion todo estaba sucio con polvo, todo esta viejo, el baño es de los años 70's, la tina super resbalosa, me caí en la regadera, y me golpeé en las costillas, la verdad muy mal todo
The Hotel is undergoing renovations, which is understandable; however the sofa-bed sleeper wasn’t clean prior to our check in. That would be fine if you’re someone that wants chip crumbs and a bad smell for flavor. Luckily we had requested new linen for the sofa-bed after our arrival including bath towels, face cloths. We could not find any linen prior to us getting the sofa-bed ready for our children, and that is when in preparation where we found the soiled linen on the sofa-bed that was really disgusting and disappointing.
I love that it was in a nice location
I just had to many problems with the rooms
As a business traveler, I concur that properties with appointments in need of a coat of paint often point to miserly ownership. Not so here! The typically sure signs of cost-cutting, substandard breakfast and gaps in the television channel selection, were quite conspicuous in their absence during my stay.
Could this property do well with remodeling? Yes but it serves its guests well. The selection and staffing levels at breakfast were a most pleasant surprise, as was the in-room television channel selection. I also found my interactions with staff most cordial.
Given a need for family-friendly accommodations right off I-10, I would stay here again. In fact, the road noise from the highway was less pronounced than I feared. It did not detract from my sleep whatsoever, even though my exterior window faced the through lanes.
I always need consistent Wi-Fi and found it at this location. In fact, I had to participate in a last-minute video conference at 4:30 on a weekday afternoon and experienced nothing but solid bandwidth and connectivity.
Despite its age, I would call this location a hidden gem. The multitude of dining and shopping options within a 2-miles radius proved convenient, too.
