The very convenient location to 95, the rooms have been renovated along with the front lobby. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good today all around.
Just wish they had a better coffee maker in the room with a variety of different coffees. You needed to go downstairs to where they serve breakfast to get your coffee.
For an older property, things were great. Impressive shower, clean all around, comfy bed, everything worked!
Our room was in the rear of the property and very close to I-95...a lot of road noise....suggest rooms away from highway.
It had a nice outdoor area, but the pool was on the colder side and the hottub was cold. I asked the front desk if they could turn the heat up but i never heard back. I booked this resort hotel for the outside amenities and the gym for me, my daughte rand her boyfriend, and then we couldn't use any of them. The gym was also under renovation so i didn't use that either. I was charged n extra 25.00 upon check in for a 3rd person, but when we got to the suite and saw how small it was, i went to the bocca suites and booked an additional room. It was the least night of our vacation and the the couch bed and the normal bed were barely separated by a thin sliding door. Nbbody wants mom on the other side of that. So that suite was dissapointing and didn't meet what we needed for that night. Can you please refund the 25.00 surcharge and perhaps add some extra points or a partial refund of the room since i was unable to use any of the outdoor facilities that we had booked it for and because i had to book an additional room to give my grown daughter/boyfriend some privacay. My room was 237 at the bocca suites if you need to confirm i stayed elsewhere on the april 4th, saturday night.
We enjoyed our 5 nights. I'm handicapped and the staff were so helpful and nice to me and my family. The place was clean. There wasn't anything we didn't like my grandchildren were treated like royalty and they also loved the buffet breakfast. We will definitely be coming back.
Everything was excellent
It's got a really nice vintage vibe and I love the layout with the view of the pool from the rooms. We stayed with a bunch of friends for the Florida Renaissance Festival and this centralized hotel layout added to the ambience. Hot tub was open. Pool lighting was neat.
Not all the gates to the pool are unlocked. You can only access the pool from the door next to the lobby. Not all private patios had furniture. These are minor annoyances at most.
Wonderful staff. All were corteous and kind.

There were pro’s and con’s with this hotel and my stay.
Let’s start with the pro’s. The hotel was fairly clean even though it is dated and under going some renovations. The staff was very friendly. The free breakfast in the morning was quite good and offered a variety of hot and cold foods. Great pool and hot tub made it a fun place to hang out during the day.
Now the con’s. The trouble started early. I paid in advance for an early check-in for 11am. Due to flight delays I got there around 1pm and my room wasn’t ready. Had to wait in the lobby until housekeeping was able to clean it. The desk clerk told me they weren’t charging me for the early check-in like they were doing me a favor.
Then the first night’s stay resulted in a very bad and scary situation. I was in bed asleep and was awoken from banging sounds from my door. Someone was trying to get into my room and had a working key card. If it wasn’t for the safety latch they would have gotten in. I could see the latch was pushed in a bit so I knew they were able to unlock the door. Through the peep hole I could see someone standing in front of my door looking over the balcony. I immediately called the front desk. The clerk told me that another guest was going to the wrong room. When that person called the front desk they sent a hotel maintenance worker to try and help him get in still not realized this room was occupied. All I can say is this was a very scary situation and could have easily resulted in someone getting hurt badly if they would have forced their way inside. They got the other guest settled in the room next to me but by that point I was really rattled and angry I barely got any sleep the whole night. I had asked to speak with a manager and they told me that person would not be in until the next morning. I was at the front desk first thing in the morning. The manager was very apologetic. I told her how bad that situation was and they were lucky I didn’t call the police. Because of this I requested two things. I wanted to be reimbursed for my first night stay and that they needed to move me to another room for the rest of my stay. She said they could move me but they would have to check on the reimbursement with someone else since I had some special rate for the group staying with me at the hotel. Really? What hotel manager would not have the authorization to refund a night especially when it was the least they could do. Anyway, here’s where it gets interesting. Turns out the other guest trying to get into my room was a member of the group I was with and was checking in late. I spoke to him the next day about it. He confirmed he wasn’t going to the wrong room. They gave him key cards to my room and even wrote my room number on his packet. The staff screwed up leading to this situation and they lied about it. They did follow through on moving me to another room for the rest of my stay. Good move too as the original room was on the side of the hotel facing Interstate 95. Hearing the sound of big trucks and loud cars all night long would have drove me crazy. That is one of the other cons concerning the location of this hotel.
Other things to note. They only have two elevators on opposite sides of the hotel. One of them was out of service the entire stay which made it pretty inconvenient to get to the upper floors where our rooms were. They also don’t appear to have any security on staff during the night. Since the rooms have outside entry (more like a motel), anyone can just enter the property at their will. There are room safes to keep valuables. However, you have to request to use them and a maintenance person has to come to your room to install the lock and key. I don’t get that. Some of the furniture in the rooms is really old. My couch cushions had some nasty looking stains, I don’t even want to know what that was from. Oh, and you have to be careful walking the premises when it gets dark. On multiple occasions me and others from my group saw raccoons scavenging around the ground floor. Yikes!
Final note on my request to have my first night refunded. It never happened. The manager kept pushing me off saying they had not gotten an answer from whatever higher authority it needed approval. On the last day she told me they could not do it, again because of the special rate. Then she wanted to know if I planned to come back again, I guess then they could do something to compensate. Would you ever want to come back to this hotel if this happened to you? If they would have done right by me I probably would not have even written this review. The business Best Western is going to lose from future guests who read this review is going to be far greater than the one night they could have refunded me.
This hotel was pretty grim. The room was very run down, with a sofa that looked as though it was rescued from someone’s curb. The whole property has seen better days. The one working elevator is in horrible shape.
Our room did have a nice remodeled bathroom. However, there was no hot water to shower with when we got up in the morning. When we called the front desk to tell them, the employee’s response was, “we never have a problem with hot water”.
Guess what? There WAS a problem.
I would never stay at this hotel again.
Very helpful staff
Overall this property is very tired and needs renovation. They had the worst pillows ever
