Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa

My time at the hotel was amazing I met Robert and Vincent from the entertainment place and it has a very good ambiance.Greatly recommended.

Fantastic food and service at the dinner buffet!

Had another wonderful experience at White Sands. We went in March 2025 and could not wait to return. Everybody (and I mean everybody) is so welcoming. The rooms are good, the food is good and the hotel grounds are well maintained. We looked forward to each day we spent there. Starting with the excellent breakfast buffet then spending time by one of the several pools (our favourite was the smaller 'quiet zone pole, near the spa) or exploring the beach when the tide goes right out (but remember to protect yourself from the sun - it's hot out there!). Then tea and cake at 4pm everyday (good time to meet people) then a long walk along the beach as it cools down, then drink's at Coco's Beach Bar before dinner. Been home almost two weeks now but have very happy memories. If you are thinking of going, just do it! You not regret it.

They place is so hospitable,so welcoming.The food here was delicious.The entertainment every where with zeinab the dancer.i really enjoyed their stay.

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would go again. On arrival we were taken to a reception area for guests, where we were able to get a light juice and waited about 30 mins for our official welcome (we arrived early in the morning, so it was probably because our room was not quite ready). Then we were given a full overview of the hotel, our rooms, the dining options etc. by the very nice reception lady (forget her name), which was comprehensive - she answered all our questions and arranged a meeting with local safari guide for us to book our safari with.
We were then taken to our room by the porter, and we asked for that to be changed as it was on the second floor and my wife due to her health preferred not to walk up steps, the porter then went back to reception to change the room and got us one on the ground floor, but we decided to go with the original room, as that was bigger! this was a lot of tooing and fro-ing for the porter between the rooms and reception, but he was super understanding, friendly and helpful and did not mind one bit - I forget his name, but he really was outstanding, like all of the staff at the hotel, they were fabulous throughout, every single one of them and a credit to the customer service standards at this hotel.
The hotel has 3 pools and because we travelled outside of busy periods, with no local or international holiday seasons, we pretty much had run of the largest pool of the 3, and it was amazing. The hotel is on the beachfront, so that was another big plus.
I visited the gym every day, and it is top quality, with a good variety of quality machines, extensive free weights and cardio machines to ensure you can get a workout like you would at your local expensive gym at home - very high quality hotel gym, not seen anything like this in hotels when travelling in the US, UK and Europe. The gym attendants were knowledgable, brilliant, friendly and professional. I'd go here again, just for the gym!
The buffet restaurant was good for breakfast and dinner, offering a range of different euro, asian and local dishes and everyone should be able to find something to satisfy themselves. They also have restaurants onsite that you can book, but we stuck with the buffet for convenience and as it was included in the package we booked.
Overall brilliant experience, and for my first trip to Kenya, made me want to come again, must try destination and hotel, if you haven't been. I'm sorry I can't list the names of the staff, memory loss, but thank you all for making it a superb break!

Our visit to Sarova Whitesands genuinely surpassed our expectations. We are a family of 4, with 2 boys aged 6 & 4. Everyone has had the best experience. What is most impressive is how attentive and friendly all the staff are. They all seem genuinely delighted to try to make your experience memorable. Everything is so relaxed, yet professional, and for me I think that is what makes this place so impressive and appealing. The buffet food is great (Harry was so welcoming and Agatha always checked in to ensure we were happy), with plenty of choice each evening we dined. The swimming pool options and layout are really wonderful and it never felt crowded as a result. It’s easy to spend hours at the swim up bar, unwinding with some drinks, snacks and chilled music. Our boys loved the kids club and the kids clubs reps (Serafina, Zaina, Jared and Vincent) listened to our requests not to allow too much screen time and instead putting the emphasis on activities when we asked. The spa was also exceptional. The cool breeze, calming spa music around the whole area and sea views were idyllic, and Gertrude was simply a gift in terms of her masseuse skills. Her ability to identify troublesome muscles, aches and pains is unmatched in my experience. So professional, so kind, and so skilled. Overall, a fabulous experience, and well done to everyone involved in making this place work. We rarely return to resorts, but already plan to return to Sarova Whitesands sometime in the future. Thanks again to everyone who made it such a great experience for us.

My experience sofar has been exceptional, the staff are friendly and always willing to accommodate your every need. Also the selection of food rotation daily is of high standard and always instresting new and fresh. I would recommend this resort and I intend to visit again.

This resort is everything and more if you are looking for a relaxed, stress free family ge away. The rooms are clean and well air conditioned, beds are very comfortable. We had two adjoining rooms with our young kids in room next to us - it worked really well. The food is incredible - we were half board. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Such a pleasure. The best of all was the kids club - they entertained our kids everyday which was not an easy feat! The kids were very happy going there every day and even asked to have dinner with them and watch movies in the evening allowing the parents some valuable couple time. Sarafina, Ziana, Vincent and Jared are fantastic in the kids club. The location of the resort is lovely next to the beach. The facilities are also great - lots of pools to choose from and a swim up bar and a great slide for the kids! We didn’t hear any noise at night and had wonderful sleeps. The spa was first class - Gertrude is fantastic and we kept going back to her for massages each day of our stay! She is a real asset to the resort. Such a great experience and we will be back for sure!

I had an amazing birthday trip to Mombasa thanks to my wonderful stay at Sarova White Sands Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the environment is relaxing and safe. From the amazing food at the multiple restaurants, to the breathtaking views of the ocean, to the fun entertainment at the bars, there was nothing more I needed. A special thanks for the warm hospitality from Grace and Duncan. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mombasa.

Perfect location not far from the city and next to the sea.

We had the most amazing time here! Tracy with the animation team was phenomenal! She taught us how to Salsa and was a great water polo partner! She took us an a walk along the beach, where we were able to see a beautiful rainbow!

Very good service and environment for children and all ages. Zainab at the kid's area was very professional. Will definitely be back!

Lovely experience had the best stay at sarova whitesands the food the showers the service was top notch especially mark the chef his food was epic a special order we made for our infant. I will definitely recommend and will be back soon.
