Absolutely terrible, avoid avoid ,
They took money of my account without me knowing , I did refund after complaint , staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful, they did apologise but they still took €126.60 without my authorisation , room was dirty cigarette ends on carpet
Very friendly staff. Rooms in horrible state.
Pool was not available. Air conditioning did not work, TV was not working. Noise from street was horrendous. Loud even at 4 in the morning. Bed’s uncomfortable. Would not recommend this hotel
No AC, extremely hot and noisy. Promised a queen but in reality it was two sigle beds. Terrible shower, dirty and old bathroom. TV did not function. Dont recommend.
Absolutely perfect and amazing, because they still have got BATHTUBS, which is the absolutely essential for me, to be able to take a nice hot bath. I totally hate showers and I would myself never take a hotel without bathtub. Just a pity their sauna is closed and not functioning at the moment.
When was there hotel was like empty no air conditioner so sleeping above 20* degree is difficult, some construction going, apperence looks old.
The facilities are in very poor state, things are fixed with duct tape....
Extremely expensive but not worth it. Room is very small. Furnitures and stuff in the room are very old. Roof height is very short. You hit your head in the bathroom. Door is not closing properly. You should pull or push to close the door.
Walls are very thin and there is no voice isolation. I couldn’t sleep due to neighbor room snoring.
Breakfast is very poor.
Great Hotel, Great location opposite the main train station. TV mostly broken with lines blocking half of every channel and needs some hallway ceiling and door repairs
If you want to stay near the Frankfurt Hauptrbahnhof, this is the best hotel for the money. It is easy to get the the airport by train in like 20 minutes from the hotel, so it is good for early morning flights.
The Hauptbahnhof and its surrounding area are not very appealing, so access to transportation is the primary selling point for this hotel.
In addition, the street that the hotel is on leads away from the Hauptbahnhof to a small park and the Meridian hotel behind it, which make it easy to get away from the somewhat unattractive folks that gravitate to the train station and walk into a fairly pleasant residential area or down to the river.
The hotel has a pretty good breakfast from 7 am to 9 am. For food at night, I would recommend the Irish pub around the corner. Apart from that, it is sort of limited.
The safe didn/'t work and reception said they would fix or change but didn't and the shower had to be held by hand as the shower holder was missing so it feels like no -one checks or does maintenance so is the hotel safe for fire or other things if these things are not checked or actioned ?
NICE
The pictures make this place look way nicer than it actually is. I’ve stayed at Savoy Hotels in America and this was absolutely not the same quality. The shower had dead flies sitting in it, the room furniture was uncomfortable or broken. The lobby was not at all what it was giving in the photos. The pool was out of service which was the main reason I booked the hotel and they said we would have had to pay a “spa fee” to access the pool of $9 per person. If it is listed as an amenity on Expedia, it should be included. The area around the hotel has a lot of shady people and the area doesn’t feel super safe.
The only “good” part was the breakfast. They had a wide variety of things to choose from and the people working there were really nice.
I would not stay here again. Especially for the amount of money they are charging for this place. Not worth it at all.
The room was alright, not horrible but not great either. Some of the furniture was in need of replacing. The windows were really drafty and a lot of street noise could be heard. The staff was nice upon check-in :) I booked our room at this hotel because it’s very close to the train station (it is! very convenient) and because there is a pool. However, upon arrival, we were notified the pool and spa facilities were closed. This was disappointing but it was still a cheap room really close to the station so overall we got what we paid for.
I have only one issue
I left before havimg breakfast because on weekends they open the buffet at 8 as it has to be open at 7 as other days. And i had to go at 7.45.
This has to be the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed. The carpets, curtains and mattress were filthy and smelt. The location is outside the drug alley of Frankfurt with users injecting heroin outside the hotel door. The Wi-Fi didn’t work and the spa was equally very dirty and smelly. There were very unsavoury characters hanging out in reception and it was very intimidating.
Terrible area, didnt feel safe at night.
Hotel has seen better days.
Apart from from the proximity to the central station, my stay at the Savoy Hotel in Frankfurt was very disappointing. The duvet and pillow cover were dusty, and I woke up with a cold. Worse, the bathroom was filthy, with rust and greenish lime buildup on the taps. There were leaking pipes from the floor above, leaving rust stains on the walls and floor. Overall, poor hygiene and maintenance made the stay uncomfortable. I had to use bottled water to brush my teeth.
So the location of this hotel is not bad as it is right next to the train station. That was the only thing good about it. The room was nasty having mold/water damage almost everywhere in the room, and this hotel is in bad need of new management. We went to check out a day early, and they never even asked us why we were leaving before our check out date. The shower rod was broken .and would not stay where it needed to be, so it just sprayed everything all over the bathroom.
Pros: price and location, also provide breakfast and drinking water
Cons: The washbasin was blocked. The restroom smelled bad. The wall was taped. No AC.
