"We were blown away with everything. It started with the upgrade to the apartment suite which was beyond amazing. The staff was so inviting and friendly. They helped us with an umbrella, and late checkout. The free coffee and water is something that is so appreciated that most properties use to nickel and dime guests, leaving a bad taste. Everyone was exceptionally great! They treated me like family, the hospitality was great. The room service was great the food was exceptional. I didn’t feel the need to leave the hotel. I was there for three days and they remembered me, I felt like a family member instead of just somebody coming to visit. Anything I needed there was somebody there to help with a smile on their face. All staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful and informative. On day one I can tell there were some technical issues and they didn’t take it out on anyone, the power was out, which I’m sure caused a lot of stress, but it didn’t seem like it. Once the power was out the generator back up stepped right in so we weren’t out of light at all. It was raining pretty hard. Everybody was calm and took care of what I needed. I’ll definitely come back and recommend recommending to everyone.

You've created such a magical culture there. Your entire team is outstanding. Special thanks to the front desk staff who were able to extend my stay, Brian at the pool who kept the drinks coming for me and the puppy patties coming for my dog, the servers at Chi Chi who helped me get my spicy chicken meatball fix even though it wasn't happy hour on Sunday....even all the housekeeping and landscaping staff is friendly. The manager who jumped in to help bartend when they were getting their butts kicked on Valentines...it was all noticed and the teamwork and environment there is just the best. I was always able to find a lounge chair and plenty of clean towels available to enjoy the pool. Service was friendly and he came around plenty to take care of everyone out there! I live in Scottsdale so I don't go to Palm Springs for the weather or golf or tennis or amenities - I come for the Avalon. Especially for how dog-friendly it is and easy to bring my little girl everywhere with me. The ginormous dog bed made me giggle (my dog is 12lbs and looked miniature curled up on it). Being able to have her hang with me at the pool is such a bonus - she has no interest in swimming but she'd much rather hang out and get pets and a burger than be alone in the room. Your little oasis in the desert there is my favorite and I look forward to returning again sometime soon. Thanks for a wonderful winter escape!

We hosted 50 guests at The Avalon Hotel and Bungalows for a milestone birthday weekend. We chose this site as we had a Rat Pack party theme and we liked the old Palm Springs charm of this hotel and its proximity to Melvyn's iconic restaurant (which is right next door and a sister property of the Avalon). We booked a mix of rooms including the standard rooms, the upgraded suites and the bungalows. All of the guests said they loved the accommodations, the restaurant and bar and the three pools - as well as the fact that they could walk to downtown shops and restaurants.

The best part of the Avalon? Hands down it is the people who work there. Everyone working on our celebration weekend extended a warm welcome to us - from the front desk clerks to the cleaning staff to the bar and waitstaff at the restaurant and pools. They are all pros and together they set a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our guests with their highly professional service. Our thanks to all.

I want to thank the staff at the Avalon hotel for the warmth welcome and the excellent service, we loved our stay. Room was very comfortable and welcoming. The atmosphere all around was very peaceful. Juan was able to acomodate us to a very nice couples massage.
Eloy was very helpful giving us food recommendations by the pool. Definitely a 10/10 experience. We will be back soon.

We got married at the Avalon on 10/25/25 and had the most incredible experience - words cannot express how special it was! We booked our venue almost 2 years before our wedding day so we knew very early on in our planning that this was where we wanted to have our big day but we couldn't have even imagined how incredible the actual day would end up being. The venue itself is SO special and creates such an amazing guest experience. Because each part of the event takes place in a different space with a different energy / backdrop (ceremony in the courtyard, cocktail hour by the pool, dinner outside, party in the ballroom) it creates so much movement in a really seamless way and led guests to feel excited for what was to come next. We loved that component of the venue and it was a selling point for us but we didn't realize just how much our guests would appreciate it. It kept the event feeling fresh (vs. being in one stale location for hours) and kept the energy levels high amongst everyone. This was such an underrated bonus! 

The food was absolutely incredible and the chef and bartender were so willing to work with us to personalize our menu and make it unique to us. We wanted to weave some of our story into our meal and drinks and they took our feedback and implemented it so well. So many of our guests said this was the best wedding food they have ever had. This was a real surprise to us as a lot of times plated meals at weddings are not the best, so we didn't know what to expect (even after doing the tasting). 

Felicity, our main point of contact on the Avalon team, was so great to work with. She coordinated seamlessly with our wedding planner and assisted with any requests we had. We were in such good hands with her and knew everything would go off without a hitch on the day of thanks to her partnership with our planner! Special shoutout to Abbie from the Avalon team who helped coordinate our room block and was also such a pleasure to work with!

All in all, it was the most perfect day at the most perfect place. As with any wedding, there are small things that go wrong and things you would do differently but choosing the Avalon is something we would do over and over again. Many people said this was the best wedding they've ever been to, and yes we are biased, but we think so too and so much of that is thanks to having our big day at this one-in-a-million place! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Location was amazing. Really friendly. Rooms big and super clean.

I had a great experience at the Avalon. I found it and booked it through the Capital One travel portal, where the hotel was included in their Premiere Collection. I found the property to be beautiful, with really well kept landscaping and varied pool choices. That said, the buildings do show a little bit their age on the outside. The room I had (Regency) was really nice, very clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast on both days was wonderful, I had an avocado toast as well as the Avalon breakfast - both delicious and filling. The staff I encountered were all very nice and helpful, particularly one of the guys at the reception (I forgot his name but he was great!). The only downside to my stay was that the guests in the room above us were super loud and constantly walked with shoes/heels on, even past midnight. Of course, this is not the hotels fault, but maybe it would be a good idea if the hotel provided white noise machines or something of that sort. Overall a great experience, particularly with the Capital One experience where you are provided dining credits.

We absolutely love this property! Great location and great Palm Springs vibe! The people here are so welcoming and helpful. Special shout out to Jon who took amazing care of us in the bar/restsurant. We left feeling like family. We will definitely be back!

A great time! We stayed there over Christmas and the entire team from check-in, to housekeeping to the bar, restaurant team was amazing. It really impressed me that this property delivered such a great experience over Christmas.

Avalon delivers a modern twist on the classic Hollywood of Palm Springs. The hotel provides excellent customer service in a convenient, walkable setting. We enjoyed the pool areas and high-quality breakfasts at Chi Chi. The room itself was large and comfortable. Insider's tip: While you're staying here, check out the amenities and unique history at the sister location, Inglewood, next door. Melvin's is a must for dinner.
