Avalon Hotel & Bungalows Palm Springs, a Member of Design Hotels

My wife and I have just returned from Palm Springs where we celebrated her birthday. We enjoyed 5 wonderful nights at The Avalon in Bungalow 103, which is located literally feet from one of the well maintained and well needed pools to cool off in the heat of the day. There were several staff who I want to mention as they consistently provided excellent service with a smile. Brian, who was always smiling and knowledgable, provided food/beverage service at the pool, Lynne at the front desk was very friendly and provided some good restaurant recommendations , the guy (sorry, I forgot his name) in the Chi Chi bar in the morning really knows birds and we were so lucky to have him there as he provided daily updates on the baby hummingbirds that were camped in their nest at the other pool. And finally, Candice G., the Guest Experience Manager, made our stay very memorable. Thank you all.

Lynne was great and went above and beyond to accommodate us on our babymoon. We had a relaxing and enjoyable time, just as we had hoped! Several of the breakfast servers at Chi Chi were also wonderful, unfortunately did not catch their names. The açaí bowl was a huge hit - my wife ordered it each morning!

Abbie + Fabian have been incredible! Thank you so much again for letting us enjoy a night's stay at the Avalon before our wedding there on November 14. Can't wait to be back. Incredible service, attentive staff, and absolutely exquisite pools!

Brian, Eloi and Juan!! Amazing!!! Love them and Eloi remembered my husband and me from years ago! They were always hustling and always made sure that our drinks and food tasted great. We really appreciated how much they cared about us. They never ever were just standing still!!! Btw, the chicken sausage is delicious!" We will be back yearly for sure…. We have stayed at the Avalon over the last 20 years and it has consistently been our favorite oasis in downtown Palm Springs. This recent visit was to celebrate a birthday and to enjoy a long overdue getaway. This recent visit was absolutely the best stay yet! James , Lynn, Candice with Guests Services went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect set up- (we brought our dog), and attention to
detail, with thoughtful birthday recognition reflected an appreciation and understanding of what outstanding customer service is really about!
The lush and peaceful setting and great staff makes the Avalon a real gem in the downtown Palm Springs area.

Lynn and the entire staff could not do enough-we were vacationing w/our family-including our 1 year old granddaughter . The property has a separate pool and cabana area away from the 2 main pools- that are family friendly so as not to disturb guests w/o children. Each pool area is beautiful, the housekeeping staff is excellent and the Chi Chi restaurant staff could not do enough to keep our baby fed and happy! The grounds are beautifully kept and the facilities at the sister hotel next door -Ingleside Estate are available for use as well. Since we have family here-we were visiting for a wedding - we will definitely be regulars -no need to try anyplace else. Extremely relaxing!! Did not want to leave!

The front desk team was extremely wonderful for our arrival. I got in early and wasn't able to check-in early - totally understandable. The team welcomed me with a complimentary welcome champagne and stored my luggage. When I returned to check-in, the team had already taken my luggage to my room. Great Service!

Lynn at the front desk was very helpful. We were upgraded to a bungalow, thanks very much! The kitchen sink was draining so slowly as to make us not use it at all. We appreciated the discount offered to opt out of daily maid service

Incredible luxury hotel!
The staff, especially "Lynn" made our visit top notch and so personalized, we felt truly special. Every need was met, over and beyond.
The food is wonderful, pools are sparkling clean and surrounded by a gorgeous setting.
Highly recommend one of the bungalows if available.
The location is perfect for walking to town, restaurants, hiking, everything...and there are bikes available complimentary for guests.
Serene, quiet, luxury setting, as good as it gets. We'll be back again!

Jocelyn at Chi Chi is always so warm and welcoming! The staff are always so inviting and because of the intimate nature of the property, I always feel at home!

My husband and I were very impressed with the genuine warmth and care from Lynn. It's rare to find somebody working for a business with such a bright personality that seems to actually care and do their best to anticipate needs and wants. She genuinely has been the most outstanding resort/hotel staff we have come across...

She always had a creative solution and outlook on things that we would need. She made our palm springs experience one of the best and gave such good recommendations. The resort itself is very cute and uses Aseop as their shampoo/body wash/lotion... which is refreshing to see a high end brand we can trust.

You get access to use their bikes for free, and we even got to enjoy a yoga class on the grass with the mountain view. It was an amazing experience, thank you to Lynn and the staff!

All the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff were thorough and efficient. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. In-room food service was quick. Fantastic service during our stay!

Several employees at this boutique hotel left memorable impressions. The person who brought us a glass of water at check-in. He also took care of our bags right away. The other person took our order for drinks while at the family pool and brought them to us. He was very friendly and customer service oriented. While we didn’t get to use the spa services, the gentleman at the front desk of the spa was very helpful when answering my questions. I really appreciated the friendliness from all three individuals. Loved it. The gym was on point too. You even had stretch bands! Overall, very cute hotel. Great location. Good food. Friendly staff."
