This was our first trip to Palm Springs and choosing the Avalon Hotel & Bungalows for our 14th wedding anniversary turned out to be perfect. From the moment we arrived, James made us feel genuinely welcomed. He acknowledged our anniversary right away, and that thoughtful gesture set the tone for our entire stay.

James arranged a discounted room upgrade, which was such a kind surprise. Shortly after settling in, we received an anniversary gift of chocolate and wine delivered to our room — a touch that made our celebration feel even more special.

The room itself was clean, immaculate, and beautifully maintained. The entire property felt peaceful and quiet, creating a relaxing environment that made it easy to unwind and enjoy our time together.

Every staff member we met was warm, attentive, and committed to making our stay memorable. The grounds are serene, stylish, and impeccably cared for, adding to the overall experience.

Because of James and the wonderful team at the Avalon, our first Palm Springs trip was unforgettable. We will definitely book here again for our next visit.

Great place to stay right in downtown Palm Springs. Large rooms, retro style and great service. The grounds are manicured and very nice. Nice gym. There are three pools! I'll stay here again if I need a place in Palm Springs.

Everyone was spectacular. There were two servers at chi chi that were great. Grace was lovely checking me in and the man at the desk, James, tracked me down to let me know I forgot my computer there. What more could I ask for?

We went as a family of four and had purchased a room with two queen beds. We were offered an upgrade for an additional fee and decided to take it. I loved the fact that we had plenty of space to rest and relax. The pool was clean and dinner was delicious! The staff were courteous and professional.

Thank you again for my blissful & amazing 24 night stay in June. I’ve been coming to this beautiful & very special hotel for 10 years & choose it as my annual international holiday.
I absolutely adore so many of the lovely hotel employees across all areas of the hotel that make my stay so special & have me feeling incredibly spoilt and part of the Avalon family.
I miss the Avalon Palm Springs already & will be back as soon as I can from Australia.

Juan Barrera at the front desk truly made my stay so much more healing than I’d ever imagined. I lost my husband a few months ago and his birthday was June 26th & our 1 yr anniversary was June 27th. I wanted to honor him & us at this beautiful hotel & spread some of his ashes on San Jacinto mountain, by way of the tram. I was crying and very emotional upon checking in. He was so very helpful & emotionally supportive. He decided to upgrade my room to a bungalow suite & I never would have been able to do that on my own. The experience of how beautiful the bungalow is, the space & everything about my stay helped my journey in more ways than I can adequately describe. It was spiritually healing. A big huge “Thank you” to Juan!! He’s amazing & I will be back!"

The front desk guy, Cody or Chris, was so very kind and helpful! Loved the poolside service, amount of pools, amount of people at the pools (not busy), and the servers were so friendly! The rental board games were such a cute touch!

Everyone was great. The drinks were great. The property was beautiful and I felt very relaxed. There were a few different pools, sauna, hot tub, etc. the restaurant was small and quaint and the drinks were very good. It was definitely a boutique hotel experience which I prefer over the larger more crowded Palm Springs resorts.

We got married here 14 years ago and we’re so happy to return to this special property. There have definitely been some design upgrades since our last visit and the pools are in great shape. Front desk and staff at Chi Chi were all outstanding! Watermelon feta salad was amazing!

Excellent location close to cafes & shops but quiet . It is an oasis in the desert . It offers hotel suites & bungalow accommodation . There are 2 pools with ample seating

Accommodations were very nice. The hotel staff from front desk, restaurant, pool staff and housekeeping were outstanding. Great Customer Service!! Food at Chi Chi Restaurant was really good!! Location is also a short walk away from the Main Street. Everything was great. Will definitely return.

The staff here is extremely helpful and accommodating. This hotel has bungalows that are very comfortable and plenty of swimming pools to help you relax and rid yourself of stress. This hotel is a perfect place to recharge in Palm Springs.

This hotel is set right in front of the mountains in Palm Springs and is very private but walking distance to everything needed. We arrived late at night and was greeted by Lyn at the front desk who warmly welcomed us and went above and beyond to make sure we got to our room quick and easy. She was incredibly helpful over the few days we were there. The hotel is lucky to have someone like her!
The breakfast and lunch chichi’s was good and make sure to go next door to Melvyn’s. It’s a steakhouse with lots of history and the bartender Sue was a pleasure to talk with. The pools and spa are very relaxing and well maintained. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to staying again. Thank you!

I had a fantastic experience. Not customer service very nice rooms and great facilities. I will absolutely be staying there the next time I am in Palm Springs.
