Hotel De La Ville was the perfect hotel for our 1st few days in Milan. Close enough to the Center City but yet far enough away in the suburbs and steps from the Monza Palace, for plenty of rest and relaxation. The staff accommodated our request for Early Check-In, which after a Red Eye flight, was a total game changer and started our trip off on just the right foot. The Hotel’s quiet elegance with its dark wood walls and Italian Art & Artifacts throughout, made you feel like you’ve traveled back in time and you were living like royalty. Our Room was clean and well-appointed and provided a comfortable bed with a spacious marble bathroom. The Breakfast Buffet was outstanding and reasonably priced at 35 Euros. The Staff in the Restaurant was warm and friendly as was the Atrium at the Derby Grill. I would definitely return to Hotel De La Ville, next time I’m in Milan. 10 out of 10!
Perfect Luxury Hotel experience. Old World charm and elegance with flawless attention to concierge service. Finest crisp bed linens and plush bath towels. The menu offerings in the Ristorante were authentic to Chef Fabio’s masterful creations. Fabio Silva is a rising star culinary genius. Every course rich in flavor and presentation. Exceptional dining experience, accompanied by excellent wine and spirits offerings. Location very convenient walking access for important venues and shopping. 🔝🔝🔝🔝
A stylish and richly decorated hotel located opposite the gates of Villa Reale di Monza. Every free space is used to display art and historical artifacts. There are more exhibits than in some smaller museums. Lovers of historical style should definitely like it.
The service is at a very good level.
We got an upgrade from a Deluxe Double room to an Executive Double Room. The room is of sufficient size and has a spacious bathroom. We especially liked the separate wardrobe.
Etro shampoos and creams, but the lettering on the labels is so small that we had to use the phone's camera zoom to understand what was in the bottles. There is no toothbrushing kit or shaving kit.
The usual complimentary water was not provided and surprisingly there was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
The street in front of the hotel is busy, but our room, with windows facing the courtyard, did not hear any street noise.
The breakfast is good. The selection is not very large, but everything offered is of high quality. Scrambled eggs are available and you can also order fried eggs for free. For an additional fee, you can order an omelette and several other products. The service at breakfast is attentive and very good.
The hotel's restaurant Derby Grill is a high-end gourmet restaurant and has quite high ratings. A slightly cheaper option for eating is the bar-bistro, which is actually the front room of the Derby Grill restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn't try dinner at the hotel this time.
Parking in a closed courtyard is free for hotel guests.
The city centre is about a 20-minute walk away.
Very slow internet connection.
There are plenty of separate switches in the room to turn on different lamps, but there is no "master" switch from which you could turn everything off at once.
The hotel has several rooms for organizing events and they are often organized there and these events can be noisy. Fortunately, during our stay, they ended at a reasonable time and they did not disturb our sleep.
I recently spent two nights at this wonderful hotel with my daughter while visiting family in Milan, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The location is excellent, and the interior is beautifully decorated — full of old-world charm and lovely antiques— yet it never feels dated or stuffy. The breakfast was outstanding, both in variety and in quality, and truly a highlight of our mornings. The service was equally impressive: professional, attentive, and genuinely warm in equal measure. A fantastic stay from start to finish. Highly recommended.
Returning to Hotel de la Ville, Monza with my Wife was like coming home to family and friends .
We were greeted by all the staff as we came in contact with each one . Soooo friendly !
The rooms are beautifully decorated with all amenities .
The meals were delicious and the service was first class .
The Barman pours your perfect drink .
The Royal summer palace is directly across the street from the hotel .
The town of Monza is very special just a short walk from the hotel with a street market every Thursday .
I can’t wait to return to this home away from home .
We are mad, mad, mad for Hotel de la Ville. We decided NOT to stay in Milan and SO glad we didn't. Owned by a 4th-generation family, the hotel mixes gorgeous antiques collections with top-tier service. A little throwback but in a delightful way. So friendly. Hello, wonderful Alessandra, Davide, the 22-year veteran Limber from Peru (a delight!). We are smitten. Huge room with balcony and glorious tub. Great restaurant and breakfast. Easy walk to train to get to Milano Centrale. Hilton Diamond member. Truly a gem!!! Don't miss touring the Villa Reale palace across the street. Wow. Really quite chic.
Hotel de la Ville is a great place to stay just outside of Milan — close enough to enjoy the city, yet peaceful and much more affordable. The rooms were large, spotless, and comfortable, with a spa-like bathroom. The bed was so cozy I slept through the entire night!
The front desk team went above and beyond, helping us check in early and arranging a taxi when ours didn’t show up. The attached restaurant was excellent with a delicious buffet breakfast and great drinks.
Professional, courteous staff and a beautiful hotel — I’ll definitely be returning!
Beautiful hotel. Excellent service. Breakfast was outstanding. Five star experience.
Great stay in Monza.
Great parking on property and the staff is incredibly helpful with whatever is needed. Only downside was my room was in a weird spot where i have to take stairs to get to the elevator which resulted in myself carrying all luggage out of the room up a flight of stairs. Short walk to centre and a great location across from a beautiful park.
Absolutely loved this hotel during our road trip across Europe . It gets my top marks for customer service and friendliness. The hotel as its name implies is luxurious and classy and its staff super attentive . We opted for dinner and cocktails and these were lovely as was breakfast the next day . I would go out of my way to come back to this hotel as it is really special .
Wonderful hotel in a beautiful location. Staff attentive and the food was excellent.
The rose garden theater area was nice to walk around. The hotel was really pretty.
Old world hotel with both modern and original rooms. wonderful location opposite the maagnificent Villa Reale. On a beautiful boulevard but completely soundproof.
Breakfast and the restaurant have excellent service and the front desk is very helpful.
An easy 10 - 15 minute walk to the old town. Housekeeping was not up to the standard it should be.
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Art covers every wall and every surface of the lobby and the guest rooms, so it it like staying in a palace museum. The gardens are lush and beautiful offering a sense of privacy and reclusivity in the bustling city. As beautiful as the property is, it is the service that sets this hotel apart. The staff here made us feel like absolute VIPs and as if our every wish was their pleasure to deliver. I loved it and look forward to when I can visit again.
Monza is a very small place so I guess this is the best hotel I can find. We have to be at the F1 circuit hence we choose this place to stay for 2 nights. It was a last minute decision and I booked this hotel at 11am the day we wanted to check in. Managed to get a Junior Suite room. Upon arrival, we can park our car at their carpark area with no drama. Enough carpark lots. Room is allocated in a funny location, up and down the stairs. Room is expected as on the pictures. Junior Suite is just a larger room no separate area from bedroom. Luckily the room is not too dark. No electric kettle to boil water nor any coffee available in the room. Just 2 glass underneath their fridge. Lots of detachable hangers. Shower area is easy to operate.
I would have given this a 3 star if not for their staff. All the staff are very nice, smiley and well-trained. They go their way to help you. Not just one person, but I would say most of them. They've a small gym with one treadmill which is all I need but the gym air conditioned is not working. Breakfast spread is not too bad but if you want to have omelette is not included in the buffet breakfast.
This hotel was everything we hoped for! It was beautifully decorated and customer service was top notch!
In particular, Mauriccio at the front desk helped us as we arrived very late and there was a mix up with our reservation. Without knowing who was at fault, he immediately corrected the problem and made sure our son had a place to sleep. He made everything right for us and went above and beyond.
The breakfast buffet was very Italian and the things we tried were great. For us as Americans, the eggs would have been better cooked harder but that’s our preference.
The beds were so comfy and we rested incredibly well.
Beautiful hotel and great staff
We had an excellent three night stay at the gem of a hotel. It exceeded our expectations in every way. We liked that the hotel was small, yet luxurious. The staff were like family, the service very good. The breakfast was one of the best offerings we've ever had. With its affiliation in the Hilton Honors program, we were able to use points for our stay.
Beautiful property, great location, chargers for our EV Polestar, wonderful breakfast
