Very unprofessional we had a misunderstanding with they payment and instead of calling the room or asking me in a calm tone she knocked on the door very aggressively and was very loud I don’t have a reservation for you , you need to tell them to pay were everyone could hear on the floor we have been without heat for weeks and when I asked about it she replied the rooms are so cheap because it’s not perfect and when I asked the housekeeper she had maintenance come switch the unit out after 2-3 weeks of staying in a cold room very nonchalant and say we pay you to stay here giving breakfast
It's a nice motel and it's not far from the beach about 4 miles away from the ocean,they kept my room clean and continatal breakfast was good 😊 to I recommend this place it's near Walmart and other stores happy holidays
Experience was nice. When I’m in town again I’ll be sure to stay here. Room was newly renovated. Plenty of space for me, store was walking distance and very convent. Location is perfect.
Having to change rooms due to mold on the walls, the smell of mildew and the tv not working was not really what I was expecting. They moved us to another room on a different floor and the employee did not seem surprised when I asked to move rooms for the issues I had. They new room was cleaner did not smell but the tv did not have a remote to be able to use it. Was too tired from being wet to address this concern again with the employee at the front desk. Will not stay at this location again.
Front desk manager is the sweetest lady ever, and the rooms are well maintained and cozy. Great spot for anyone visiting the Myrtle area.
the area around my room had an odor and within an hour the help stated it was my fault and right away the manager said i had to leave saying the don’t rent to locals?? when i did check out they refused to give back my money for dep and the return of two nights rent that i paid cash for!! i would like this return of my money reddesdundsd put on my cashapp kennycancan?

Too bad. Cockroaches in the bedroom. Water is leaking from wall. Air conditioner is not working. Service is too bad.
Lied to as soon as I got to the property about the early check in and late check out option and not helpful at all. They have guests high on drugs all over. Random men were knocking on my door after 12am while I was with my child. Not safe at all. Tv didn’t work, they acted like it was the remote I had to ask about it multiple times the next day they changed the entire tv. Sheets and blankets had blood stains everywhere. When I contacted Expedia about the issue even they couldn’t get in contact with who ever is in charge.
The deck clerk was very rude , i didn't have a coffee pot or ice bucket...was told it was on back order. Then i seen roaches crawling around and seen two dead ones on counter
And the hallway smelled like mold on the 4th floor. I took pictures of roaches since the rude deck clerk told to put it in my review. Here the review...nasty staff & building
Great stay
Upon walking into the place the front desk person was very nice. Seen her through out the week in my travels. First you get what you pay for, even if that. Be careful at night in the parking lot. Prostitution and junkies love this place. The hotel is run down and in desperate need of repairs and general maintenance. Stuff broke all throughout the property. Such as big one.. cameras!! Burnt wiring, broken smoke detectors, flooring in areas, burnt bed sheets, main area bathroom no place to dry hands, ceiling missing tiles and water damaged. Elevator missing screws and parts, and floor tiles missing/broken. My room. Looked like there was a break in at one point. The door had evidence that someone tried to kick it in. The light switch plate was not installed properly. Looked like big holes were patched over poorly. Bad and missing caulking in bathroom. Chipped glass mirror and hung crooked, shower valve did not work properly, mold and who knows what on ceiling, paining job was done by a 2 year old, drain clogged every time, toilet hardly flushed, bed made I big metal noises, mattress was hard. I could on for ever! If you needed extra towels you can’t ask the front desk you have to hunt down cleaning staff who don’t speak English. But you can enjoy the pool, on Saturday nights they have gangster mic night by the pool. Seriously a gangster party. Was impressed by the prostitutes pretty much not having clothes on running around were nice to my girlfriend. I could go on for days.
I recently stayed at your property, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the condition of my room and the overall experience. As a loyal guest who chose La Quinta expecting a clean, safe, and comfortable stay, I was shocked by the state of the accommodations provided.
Below are just some of the issues I encountered, all documented with attached photos:
1. Mold and Water Damage – Multiple areas of the ceiling and walls show visible water damage, peeling paint, and signs of mold, creating significant health and safety concerns.
2. Dirty and Damaged Fixtures – The air vents were covered in dirt and debris, several wall plates were loose or missing, and the ceiling showed noticeable cracks.
3. Unsanitary Furniture and Bedding – The chair was heavily stained, the lamp shades had watermarks and burn marks, the curtains were visibly dirty, and there were spots on the bedding that raised serious hygiene concerns.
4. Evidence of Neglect – There were signs of mold near the desk and other furniture, cracks and peeling around the walls, and overall poor maintenance throughout the room.
This experience was far below the standards I expect from La Quinta. Beyond being unpleasant, the conditions posed potential health risks and made my stay extremely uncomfortable.
Roach in dining hall and no conditioner in shower
Was able to check in online but then had to still check in inside so that is a waste of time. Rooms look remodeled or fairly new but they definitely cut corners. There were no outlets in the bathroom. The pool was out of order. The ceiling in the gym was falling apart. Breakfast was very disappointing with very few options and nothing but coffee to drink.

The waffle maker was out only cereal, pork sausage ,blah eggs ,yogurt and, apples!!

Just expect what you pay for when coming here. we decided to stay here for our baby’s first birthday and didn’t want to go all out so we would have more money for activities. The room itself was clean, it wasn’t nothing extravagant but it wasn’t the worst either. not sure if all the rooms only have showers but if so i recommend bringing a baby tub unless you wanna stand in the shower to bathe your toddler. Our TV didn’t work for the first 2 nights and they kept saying maintenance would come fix it but we had to stay on top of them and even then we couldn’t get anyone up there until our third day which was our last night before we were supposed to leave. Only got to get in the pool once because they said someone peed in it but they took 2 days to get it back open which was a bummer because wanted a pool for our son because he absolutely loves water and once again we came for him not ourselves so we were trying to only do activities he was involved in. We ended up having to buy a day pass at another hotel just to swim. While our son loved the beach, a one year old can’t really enjoy swimming in the ocean. Like i said you get what you paid for. We still had to end up coming out of pocket to stay an extra night so we could actually enjoy everything that the hotel was supposed to have. We did pay for a tv and didn’t have it until the third night. Paid for pool amenities only to be able to swim once. Front desk lady was nice but not helpful. Wasn’t very forgiving or helpful.
The team at La Quinta is excellent because they are being led by Phyllis the manager on duty.
