The Ritz-Carlton Osaka

Wow! What a stay (3 nights) for our family of 4. We booked 2 Club level Rooms; 1 was a Suite.
We arrived in Osaka via Shinkansen. It was a short cab ride away from bliss. Adding Club access to the rooms was well worth it. You check in on the Club floor. Most pleasant check-in ever as you relax in the lounge while they take care of your paperwork and getting the bags to your room. No waiting in line, lovely food and drinks as there is an incredible selection of food options waiting for you; the only way to check in to a hotel.
Our rooms were on the 32nd floor with a great view (Club is on 34). Our bags were waiting in our rooms. Both rooms were large and well appointed. The Suite especially large with lots of space to unwind and relax. You have an expansive view of the city. The pool was a great afternoon escape to get in a few laps and relax in the jacuzzi. The gym is very well stocked with equipment including free-weights and racks for more serious workouts.
Having Club Room access is such a luxurious treat. There is food and drinks available for you from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM with a few short transition breaks in between while they switch over the food for the time of day. Breakfast was a must each day with options for Western and Japanese style breakfasts. There's just so much food... Depending on our daily travels, we would stop in for a late lunch, quick snack, tea and even enjoyed a night cap overlooking the city.
Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Everyone there really wants you to enjoy your stay. Such a welcome change from business travel in the US. The gourmet shop on the first floor is a must stop for treats to take back or on the plane ride. Since we had club access we didn't try any of the restaurants on site, but all looked great.
While the hotel is a splurge for most, the value for what we spent was incredible. The same rooms in other cities would have been twice as much.
Location wise, you are a short cab ride from most anything in the city. We didn't take the train that much, but it was just a 4 minute walk from the hotel.

Absolutely gorgeous, and very clean

We had a magnificent stay. The Osaka Ritz is a gem that represents the golden age of Ritz-Carltons before Marriott took over. Every detail had been considered, every service moment was impeccable. Sara is, without a doubt, the best concierge we have ever encountered, and she completely embodied the Ritz credo. She helped us plan a memorable birthday dinner and stay for our daughter’s 16th and helped us with our logistical questions regarding Osaka and beyond. The afternoon tea was delicious, with the best tea I have ever tasted, delicious scones and pastries, and warm, friendly, attentive service. The room was beautiful and spacious with every comfort. We wished we had more than one night to stay!

As always with this brand, the Osaka hotel delivers a beautifully finished and comfortable environment. Rooms, whilst not being particularly large, are extremely well appointed and very comfortable.
Likewise, the Club Lounge provides a a comfortable and inviting environment with an excellent selection of food and drink throughout the day.
However, it is the staff here that set the hotel apart, incredibly friendly and efficient which makes all the difference for a great stay.
We visit Japan generally and Osaka in particular, very regularly, without doubt, the Ritz-Carlton is the very best we have stayed at to date.

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka was nothing short of perfection. From the sparkling pool, world class gym, amazing food (Hanagatami was the best teppanyaki we have ever had in all of our 2+ weeks in Japan, and we tried a few different high end places) but what truly blew us away was the unparalleled level of customer service. In all of my global travels, I have never experienced such genuine, anticipatory, and heartfelt care.
While the entire team was wonderful, two staff members in particular, Sara Shimoura and Yamane Takahide went above and beyond for us. We had a big travel mishap (completely my fault) and unfortunately missed our train. When they heard what happened, they didn’t just offer directions—they personally drove us to the train station, carried our luggage to the Shinkansen train counter to explain our situation in Japanese to get us on the right train to ensure we made our connection without any stress.
They were incredibly nice, deeply thoughtful, and handled the entire situation with a warm smile. It was so evident that they were genuinely glad to help and cared deeply about our well-being. Their actions perfectly embody the quintessential Japanese service mentality (omotenashi), where the guest's comfort is paramount.
Thank you, Sara and Yamane, for turning a stressful moment (admittedly, they were so kind in my moment of need it actually brought tears to my eyes) into one of the highlights of our trip. You are a true credit to The Ritz-Carlton brand, and we cannot wait to return!

The hotel was excellent. The service, location and accommodations were best in class. The staff could have not been more helpful. Simon Finch, Director of Loyalty, was particularly helpful in making specific arrangements that were needed to get around. I highly recommend the Ritz Carlton Osaka for pleasure or business.

Beautiful hotel with excellent service. Japanese suite was a fun experience. Concierge was very helpful in making plans. Good proximity to walk to numerous places.

Ritz Carlton Osaka is perfect for Business as well as for family. It has a grand set up and amazing hospitality. Our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Osaka under Mr. Simon Finch leadership had put us in good care. There was a moment we had to take a good rest and this is perfect place. We much appreciate it.
